Chapter 3: Crash landing.

"Lance where are we going?" Hunk questioned as Lance and himself were sneaking around the corridors of the Garrison. Lance was in front crouched down, peeking around the corner.

"We are going to get Pidge, then we are going to go to the town and celebrate our success," Lance replied before running around the corner, towards Pidge's room.

"I'm just saying this is a bad idea," Hunk stated as he followed Lance. Lance crouches down to sneak by the instructor's Lounge, he motions for Hunk to follow, which he does reluctantly. As they were about to go into another hallway, they spotted Pidge exiting Iverson's office.

"Where is he going?" Lance questioned even though he knew that she was going to the roof, even so, the two followed her. The two managed to follow Pidge up onto the roof of the Garrison, where they both saw her using technology that did not belong to the Garrison, with headphones on a look of concentration on her face. "You come here to rock out?" Lance asked removing the headphones to speak into Pidge's ear.

Pidge jumps at the sudden noise, "Agh!- Oh, Lance, Hunk. No, um, just looking at stars," Pidge lied through her teeth, which Lance saw right through. However, he needed to keep up an act just a little longer.

"Hey, where'd you get this stuff?" He asked even when he knew the answer "It doesn't look like Garrison tech,"

"I built it," Pidge stated smugly.

"You built all this?" Hunk asks in awe and goes to touch the equipment only for Pidge to slap his hand away, rather harshly.

"Stop it! With this thing, I can scan all the way to the edge of the solar system," Bragged Pidge as she gazed at her own technology.

"That right?" Lance narrowed his eyes, deciding to have a little fun, "All the way to Kerberos?" Pidge grumbles silently, looking away from Lance and Hunk. "You go ballistic every time the instructors bring it up," reasoned Lance.

Hunk goes to touch the equipment a second time, this time trying to be sneaky about it, in the end, Pidge still saw. "Second warning, Hunk,"

"Look, Pidge, if we're going to bond as a team, we can't have any secrets," Lance said, trying to not to cringe at the 'can't have any secrets' since he had loads, like how he knew Shiro is going to land on earth, in just a few more minutes.

"Fine," Pidge relented "The world as you know it is about to change," Lance held back a nod, he knew everything is about the go to hell, "The Kerberos Mission wasn't lost because of some malfunction or crew mistake--," Pidge continued, 'Yeah, the Galra abducted them' Lance thought bitterly.

"--STOP TOUCHING MY EQUIPMENT!" Pidge yelled as Hunk once again tried to touch Pidge's equipment. "So I've been scanning the system and picking up alien radio chatter," Pidge explained mystically.

"Whoa, what? Aliens?" Hunk questioned, panicked, "You're insane,"

"I'm serious!" Pidge defended herself, "They keep repeating one word; 'Voltron'. And tonight, it's going crazier than I have ever heard it," She continued. They both looked at Lance who had been really quiet about it all. "Lance?" Lance, however, was not paying attention, he was staring at the same place, thinking about everything.

"Shiro is coming back in literally a minute, I'm going to see Keith and Blue and, and. Oh my god, this is too much." Lance muttered lowly and quickly and soon begun pacing "'Lura and Coran are going to be there and Red,"

"Lance?" Pidge and Hunk called out at the same time.

"I'm going back to space, when did everything change?"

"LANCE!" Pidge yelled while Hunk grabbed his shoulders. Lance snapped back into reality, looking at the two, sheepishly. "Okay, I understand that finding out about the existence of aliens is shocking but no need to mutter so much about it," She continued.

"Sorry, guess I got carried away," Lance apologised.

An announcement, that echoed around the premises, made Hunk drop Lance, "Attention, students. This is not a drill. We are on lockdown! Security situation Zulu Niner. Repeat: All students are to remain in barracks until further notice."

"What's going on? Is that a meteor? A very, very big... Meteor?" Hunk questioned, his voice cracking, showing how scared he was.

"It's a ship and I think it belongs to them,"

"So wait, there really are aliens out there?" It was then that the three watched the alien spacecraft crashed into the desert and they watched as the Garrison sent out land rovers to the crash site.

"We've gotta see that ship!" Pidge exclaimed as she ran towards the exit, Lance quickly following.

"Hunk, come on!"

"Oh, this is the worst team-building exercise ever." Hunk complained but followed. 'Just wait until we bond in the castle,' Lance thought evilly.
