Chapter 5: The blue lion.

Early the next morning, Lance woke up at the sudden sound of Keith shutting the cabin door. Once he had gotten his bearings, he looked around the cabin, Hunk and Pidge were already awake and quietly talking, they didn't know that Lance was awake. Lance stared at the cloth covering Keith's board. It was then he decided to get up, just in time for Shiro and Keith to walk in.

Keith then proceeds to show Shiro, Lance, Hunk and Pidge his board which was covered in maps, diagrams, and notes. "What have you been working on?" Shiro asked as he gazed at the board.

"I can't explain it, really. After getting booted from the Garrison, I was kinda... lost and... felt drawn to this place. It's like something... some energy was telling me to search." Keith explains vaguely, to which Lance froze. 'This isn't what happened last time. In the past, if I remember correctly, Keith just felt something and ran off telling us to follow him and that's how we found the blue lion. Did Allura make me go into the past or a different reality?' Lance thought to himself.

"... Each tells a slightly different story about a Blue lion, but they all share clues to some event, some arrival happening last night," Keith finished off before looking at Shiro "Then you showed up,"

"...I should... Thank you all for getting me out. Lance, right?" Shiro said as he offered Lance his prosthetic hand. Lance hesitates but then shakes it. Shiro then offers to shake Pidge and Hunk's hand. However, Pidge was the only one who did.

"The nervous guy's Hunk. I'm Pidge," She introduced "So, did anyone else from your crew make it out?"

"I'm not sure. I remember the mission and being captured. After that, it's just bits and pieces." Shiro explained to the rest. Keith and Lance stayed quiet, but for two different reasons. Keith was quiet because he wanted to hear what Shiro was saying but Lance was trying to figure out what the hell was happening. 'Everything was the same, except this time Shiro introduced himself, Keith didn't run off and we are talking instead of finding the blue lion.'

Lance was stuck in his own thoughts until Hunk brought up looking through Pidge's stuff. "Well last night, I was rummaging through Pidge's stuff, and I found this picture. Look it's his girlfriend," Hunk said. Lance held back the urge to snort 'That's matt, bud.' he thought to himself, cackling on the inside.

"Hey, gimme that! What were you doing in my stuff?" Pidge asked angrily as she took back the picture.

"I wa- I was looking for a candy bar," Hunk reasoned "But then, I started reading his diary," Hunk said as he pulled out Pidge's diary, who stole it back.

"WHAT?"

"And I noticed that the repeating series of numbers the aliens are searching for looks a lot like a Fraunhofer line," Hunk carried on, ignoring Pidge.

"Frown... Who?" Questioned Keith.

"It's a number describing the emission spectrum of an element," Lance explained, making Hunk and Pidge look at him shocked, "But from what Hunk was saying the element must not exist on Earth. He must have thought that it would the Voltron thing," Lance continued making Pidge and Hunk wonder what the hell happened to their Lance.

"Y-Yeah, and I think I can build a machine to look for it," Hunk managed to say over his shock, "Kinda like a Voltron Geiger Counter," Shiro than called Hunk a genius "It's pretty fascinating, really. Th-the wavelength looks like this," Hunk then pulled out a graph which held the wavelength. Keith snatches it from Hunks grip.

"Give me that," Keith holds the piece of paper up to his board, it showed that the wavelength's appearance matched the array of boulders in a picture. With the place in mind, the group of future paladins travelled to the location, with Hunk's new device.
