"That's nice to hear. But I knew some of these trees. And I'd like to be in charge of torturing those putrid humans this time." Ej muttered blankly that made the leader look at him with worry.

He had been with Ej for longer than he can count. He already knows every detail about him. And he only talks like that when he is truly offended or angry.

He didn't bother disagreeing anyway as he believes that humans deserve the punishment that his official will give.

They made their way back to their hideout. Which they also call Camp Grim. As the two walked to where the trespassers were taken…

"I saw our vampire friends today. Jake and Sunghoon. And also Jungwon." Ej informed.

"And?"

"I've told them about the trespassers. It seems that Heeseung and his friends had not wandered their woods yet." The wolf explained as they stopped in front of an old and rusty iron door.

"They probably won't know it yet. I think after the primes left they went back to see their mortal partners." K grinned thinking about the bet he made with Heeseung that he was gonna get laid once they came back. He have a gut feeling that he won the bet.

"Hmmm. And you? Do you still not have a partner to see with? There are many omegas in the Daoan pack now. I can't believe you're still single!" Ej playfully teased which earned him a playful punch on the shoulder.

"Shut up! As if you can find a date!" He teased before eventually leaving his friend to punish the trespassers.

He shifted into his wolf form and dashed back to the forest. Into their main spot where all the members of the pack gathered. He spotted Taki and Nicholas sitting near the campfire. They are also in their wolf form.

K approached the two and he was immediately greeted by them before he sat beside Taki.

The three quietly watched all the wolves in the area. Some of them are in their human form and others that are in wolf forms are playing.

Giselle opened his eyes after the aggressive tapping in her shoulder. She immediately sat up and saw the vampire beside her with a very panicked face.

"What's wrong?" She asked groggily and he immediately pointed at the door.

"What?" She asked again.

"Your cousin. Chaeyeon. She's gonna come here to call you for breakfast." He whispered.

"Listen. I-I gotta head back first okay? I promise we'll see each other again." Jay added before he sat up from the bed while Giselle just watched him with a confused face.

"Really? What if I don't?" Giselle's words made the panic on the vampire's face fade.

He immediately went to her side and grabbed her hands.

"You will. I promise. But I just can't meet your family right now. It may be too much… but…. I don't think I'm ready if your father suddenly tells me to stay away from you after what happened after I died." He said to her with a genuine tone.

Giselle slowly nodded and smiled at him. Lifting her left hand to caress his cheek.

"I understand. If you tell me we'll see each other again. I trust you." She said to him and Jay gladly returned the smile before he leaned closer to her.

Their faces were only a mere inch apart. He looked her in the eyes and saw nothing but trust. Giselle pulled him closer until their lips finally met into a slow yet longing kiss. One they have not shared together for years.

Giselle could not explain the joy she could feel right now. And if only the person who knocked on the door and interrupted their moment was not her cousin. She would have put an air hole in her temple.

"It's alright. I'll go now! I will meet you as soon as possible." Jay said as he chuckled. Kissing her quickly for the last time

He stood up and walked to her window, opening it. He mouthed a goodbye to her before he jumped down over the fence.

Giselle had a very lovesick smile on her face as she stood up and walked to her door to open it. Greeting her cousin good morning and walking past her. Which might have made her confused because Giselle would never open the door herself unless she is called.

"I knew it! She's still drunk!"

"Lumberjacks?" Jay repeated after Jake told him what they learned from the wolves.

He had just returned from Giselle's house. Heeseung and Niki are not back yet so in place of their leader, he's the one left in charge to take care of the matter.

"K fired many of his employees overnight just because of that. Sunoo probably knows about it by now." Sunghoon added.

"But can we not really just kill them if we find them?  Why do we need to surrender them to the authorities? Who knows they're in it too? Isn't that a possible reason why many of K's employees were not in jail until he came back?" Jungwon questioned.

"You do have a point Jungwon. But Ej had specifically mentioned that the trespassers are from the North." Sunghoon reminded him again before turning his attention to the eldest in the room.

"Alright. We should find the trespassers first. Jungwon, I need you to leave with Ningning and Winter and look for Heeseung. The rest will come with me." He announced as he made his way out of the office. The rest tailed after him.

"But if we're all leaving, who's gonna be left behind in the hotel?" Jungwon asked with genuine curiosity. As far as he can remember, there should be at least one vampire left behind so the hotel won't crumble down.

"The hollows." Ningning replied with a grin.

Jungwon only looked at them confused.

Winter and Ningning brought him with them as they went to look for Heeseung.

The rest of the vampires on the other hand immediately went to the forest to hunt down the trespassers of their land.

"Their scent is everywhere!" Jay growls as he scans the forest with red eyes. He could see from the ground many tracks of humans and wheels.

The three followed the tracks and eventually arrived at the spot that is only a few miles from the shore. There was a cliff from where they stopped and below is another wide space of tall trees. But all of those trees had been cut down and are being exported to the northern country.

"And do we still need to leave them to the authorities?!" Jake scoffed with sarcasm as they all watched nearly half a thousand of trees from the lower ground were all cut down.

"Let's stakeout until the rest arrives. Heeseung will decide whether we'll kill all of them or not."
