Tiffany's PoV
I couldn't help myself when Liliana invited me to dinner. At first, I thought we would enjoy ourselves at her favorite restaurant, but instead, we went to the beach and had a picnic here instead. This is by far the most memorable birthday I have ever had.
"This is delicious! I have never tasted anything like this before. Maybe because you're the one who cooks it, Liliana." Lilian blushed as I kept on complimenting her lasagna.
"I may not be an expert in cooking, but I am confident about my lasagna." And she's right- this is delicious! No words could describe what sort of flavors I'm tasting right now.
"My gosh, you're eating like a five-year-old." Liliana grabbed a napkin before wiping the corner of my mouth.
"I can't help it- it's delicious. Also, I heard from Janet about your parents. Are you alright?" Liliana nodded before smiling at me.
"I'll survive. Besides, it's for the best, and I know my mother is happier now that my father is out of the picture. Although the process might take a while, at least my father has moved out from our home." I'm glad he did.
"Weirdos." Huh? I turned to see the couple who walked past us as they were whispering to each other.
"Ignore them. Janet told me how you tend to act around people like them." Liliana is right. I don't have time to spare for those kinds of people.
"So, how's the clinic?" I tried to change the subject by asking Liliana about something she loves.
"The clinic has been doing well. There's a lot of improvement made towards it, and I don't know how to thank you and your friends enough." As Liliana said that, something mischievous came to mind.
"You can kiss me on the cheek to thank me. Here-" I offered my cheek. Liliana snorts out a laugh before giving me a quick peck.
"That was too quick! I want a longer kiss!" Liliana cleared her throat and said,
"You'll get longer kisses later. For now, drink your soda." I chuckled as I took my last bite of lasagna.
"You should cook me this Lasagna at least once a week. Perhaps we should do this picnic often too. What do you think?" Liliana giggled.
"I'll cook you lasagna once a week, but I don't think I have the time to go to a picnic every week. I am a busy woman, and so do you. I know you have an important meeting today, but you asked my sister to go in your stead instead." I hummed.
"What can I say- I do have a capable personal assistant. And it's my birthday, so I get some time to myself. And thank you for spending it with me. Normally I would just spend my night at the clubs and get drunk. But this year means something more to me." When did I turn to be so-
"I think my sister knows what's going on between us. Even we have no idea what we are." Well, even I am confused. Are we official or just friends with benefits? But we haven't even-
"Well, well, well- is that Tiffany I see with yet another woman? Be careful there, girl; that woman beside you is a heartbreaker. She will leave you the moment she's bored." Of course, that bitch is going to ruin everything.
"You came back? I thought after what happened with your family, you wouldn't have the guts to show yourself here. I was wrong then-" Liliana seems confused but remains silent.
"I'm Audrey, Tiffany's ex-girlfriend." Liliana shakes Audrey's hand.
"I'm Liliana, Tiffany's business partner." Audrey snorts a laugh before turning her attention towards me.
