Tiffany's PoV

After my morning jog, I went to the office without changing into a more appropriate attire since I didn't want to be late for my morning meeting. I figured that I could change into my suit at the office, and that was a bad idea because everyone was staring at me.

I mean, I'm sure most people who came to my office wouldn't recognize me instantly, and they have been giving me the eye.

"Do I smell that bad? I just went for a jog. It's not like I did some cardio." The security shakes his head.

"You don't smell bad, boss." The security smiled. I shrugged and continued walking across the lobby toward the front desk.

"You look new. When did you start working here?" I asked the new receptionist, who was shocked to see me standing before her.

"What? Do I smell bad? Excuse my attire. I could change into a more formal attire at the office instead of going home. Anyway, did you see Janet Cromwell punch in?" The new receptionist immediately checks out the employee name list before nodding her head.

"I see. Thank you." I smiled before getting my phone out and sending a text to Janet.

"Excuse me, who are you? If you're a worker here, you should punch in." Come to think of it, and I never punched in every time I went to work.

"That's not necessary. I'm sorry for the newbie, boss. She's new, and she hasn't met anyone yet. I will teach her the basics." I smiled at the familiar-looking woman before walking towards the elevator.

As the elevator opened, I smiled when Janet was inside.

"Good morning, boss." I greeted Janet before walking into the elevator.

"I forgot to bring my card with me. Luckily you're here earlier than expected." Janet sighed.

"Boss, how often do I remind you that forgetting your entry card is unacceptable? I mean, if you could bring your phone around, you should be able to include the card with you." Gosh- Janet reminded me of my mother.

"Janet, it won't happen again. So, is our guests here already?" Janet nodded. They must have been shocked when I decided to back out from the project. Of course, they would be here as soon as they could. I mean, they're bound to suffer some losses because of my action, but there's nothing money can't solve.

"Let them wait." The elevator opens to reveal my floor. I smiled at the staff as I walked through the hallway.

"I'll inform our guests about your arrival," Janet said before closing my office door. I sighed before going to the bathroom and cleaning myself. After having a short shower, I went to the changing room that connected to the bathroom and got ready for the day. While drying my hair, Janet enters the changing room with a worried expression.

"What's up?" I asked.

"My sister's boyfriend is among the guests. Boss, the man is an idiot. I managed to leave before he could see me. But I'm not sure why he's here. Now that the man is here, I conclude that all the bad things that happened to my sister's clinic must have been his doing! I'm sorry, boss, but I can't show my face at the meeting. It would ruin everything." I placed the hair dryer down and smiled at Janet.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it. Just tell me what his name is and what he looks like." Janet smiled before saying thank you.

"His name is George Cunning, and he wore a navy blue suit with a white necktie. You would recognize him immediately since he's a douchebag." I laughed.

"Why do you hate the man so much?" Janet sighed.

"Because that man raises his hand at my sister. Today my sister has to go to work with a bruise on her cheek. We spend half an hour in front of a mirror to cover it up with makeup." I see. Then I need to see this man.
