Ross's POV

Monday March 16
I felt a heavy weight on my eyelids and a throbbing pain in my entire head. An unwelcome contrast to the peaceful darkness that I had been floating in for who knows how long. Where am I? I slowly opened my eyes- I guess they had been closed- and immediately winced at the blinding light that was assaulting my vision.
"Ross?" I heard a distant sounding voice say. They sounded familiar..
"Ross? Ross? Ross! Ross are you waking up?!" They called out frantically. Each time they said that name it sounded closer and clearer. Who the hell was Ros-
I shot upward, sitting up straight. I glanced frantically around the room I was in. I was Ross and I didn't have any idea where I was. The walls were white as well as the floor and the ceiling. There was a bedside table with flowers and.. was that medical equipment surrounding the bed I was on? I regained some of my bearings and realized the voice had been saying my name.
"Ross! Ross calm down! You're in the hospital! Calm down!" They called. It was Susie. She was standing next to this bed, frantically trying to calm me down.
I took a few deep breaths and took in the room before facing Susie.
"Susie.. Wh-where.. how.." I slurred. After that sudden burst of frantic energy I realized how groggy I was. It was almost like I had been sleeping for weeks.
"Ross I am so glad you are awake, we are gonna need backup. You know I came up with a plan while I was sitting in here with you because half dead folks are usually not that great of company and I was bored. I have no time to sit around and explain so we are going to have to start now. Come on! Get up! I'll explain on the way to your mom's house. Hopefully the miracle of you not being dead will be enough to convince her." Susie said urgently.
She grabbed my arms and started to pull me off the bed.
"Susie! Woah woah, slow down! Where am I? What happened?" I said, scrambling to keep up with her pulling me so that I wouldn't fall.
"Didn't you hear me? Not here! Now keep your voice down, the doctors can't know that you're awake because we have to start RIGHT NOW!" She explained.
I was now on my feet, but they sure did not want to cooperate. I stumbled over and leaned on Susie accidentally.
"Oh my god, how long are you going to be like this? We have running to do!" Susie said, pushing me back to my feet. I stumbled more but caught my balance.
"I don't know. I don't think I can run. I feel kinda dizzy." I reached up to hold my head. "Where's my hat? Where are the others?"
"Roy and Y/n are fucking around at Roy's house hiding from his parents and making plans or something." Susie said as she grabbed her satchel. Roy and Y/n working together? How long have I been asleep..
"What about Rob?" I asked.
She froze.
"The.. The cult took him." I gasped lightly. "I know it sounds awful, but we're holding out hope. I think Roy and Y/n are making a plan to rescue him. Now come on! Can you walk yet? Let's  bust outta here! We have so many things to do!"
Susie grabbed my arm again and pulled me toward a window.
"We're going to your mom's house first. One, because she is going to be the easiest to get on board with this plan and two, because you need to change." She gestured to my hospital gown. "Here's your hat."
She pulled my hat out of her bag and tossed it to me. I didn't have much time to put it on because Susie had already opened the window and flung her bag out.
"Thank whatever the fuck that they put you on one of the lower floors." Said Susie, clambering out the window. "Don't worry! It's easy to climb. I had to to get in."
Shortly, she dropped to the ground and scrambled to pick up her satchel.
"Come on Ross! We don't have all day!" She yelled.
"O-ok." I said nervously. Sure, maybe we were on a lower floor but we weren't on the ground floor for sure. It was still a decent drop.
But we had no time for fearing heights. I made it to the ground and before I could fully stand up, Susie was dragging me along while she ran and shouting quick summaries of what all happened while I was asleep.
Holy crap! How had so much happened in the 2-ish weeks that I had been out? Susie didn't even give me the time to absorb that information before getting into her plan. So we were going to start a resistance to fight the cult. It was risky because we didn't know how anyone would react to the information that a cult was in town. Susie said it was worth the risk though because we sure as hell weren't making any progress with just the five (now four) of us. We needed an army.
After Susie had explained everything we had made it to my house. How did she know where I lived?
She let go of my aching arm and knocked on the door. My mom opened the door.
"If it's a new vacuum I don't wa-" She froze when she saw me and gasped. Before she could say anything, Susie cut her off.
"Miss Jaune? Hi. We have to talk to you about something."
