Eighteen: Worries

Being awake at 4 in the morning for Julia wasn't normal. She sat by her window thinking about everything. Bella was close to know, she was pregnant, and she's afraid of the danger that may occur. Calvin appeared causing her to open the window. He jumped up to her window and got in causing her to kiss him. She didn't want to think about anything, but the baby.

Calvin pulled back. "Alice saw you were awake. Is everything okay? Is the baby okay?"

"We're fine." She tells him. "It's just..." Julia sighed as she walked back to her bed. "Bella is close to finding out."

"Don't worry about her. That's Edward's mess. Our worries if for our child." Calvin sat down. "I called the Volturi. They want proof of this child."

"Why did you do that?"

"Let me tell you the story of immortal children."

The next morning, Julia woke up to see she slept in causing her to sigh. A knock on the door caused her to look up. "Come in." She replies seeing her dad. "Hi, daddy, is something wrong?"

"Just checking on you. I know you didn't go to bed till 4 this morning. Is something wrong?"

Julia sighed. "I'm scared." She tells him. "I'm pregnant and I don't know how this mother thing works as I never had one."

Charlie sat on her bed and took her hands in his. "Sweetie, you will be an amazing mother to this child. Calvin will even tell you that. You are nothing like Renee. I should have seen it before Bella was born. She never loved me like she claimed. She wanted more. She left you with me as you were always a daddy's girl. You'll be a wonderful mother. Don't ever worry that you won't be."

A knock caught their attention causing Charlie to kiss her head. Julia smiled as she shouldn't worry. She will be the best mother ever to this child. She will never be Renee. "Julia? Esme's here. She wants to take you to pick out designs for the nursery."

"But...."

"Calvin has a birthday present for you and I know where it's at." He says. "Go spend time with his mother and later, we will spend time together."

All her worries washed away as she did have a mother. Esme Cullen. She was the reason why Julia is going to be better than her mom. She never left her. Julia got dressed and went downstairs causing Esme to smile. "Ready to go shopping."

"Alice is going to kill us." Julia says as they walked out of the house. "Thank you for being my mother figure that I needed. I'm not worried about anything anymore. This child and Calvin are all I need to focus on."

"That's good and you are already my daughter." She says. "Picked any names out yet."

Julia Swan laughed as she got in the car. This day was going to a wonderful day.
