Five: Calvin's Secret

"Carlisle, can I talk to you about telling Julia the truth about us?"

"You're asking permission?" Calvin nodded. "Come in and shut the door."

Calvin shut the door and sat down. "It's time for Julia to know." He says. "I've been learning more about Julia then she has me and this secret has to come out. Only to her."

"Okay." Carlisle says. "Is she worth telling everything to?"

Calvin knew that question was coming. He already decided. "Yes." He said. "Julia is worth everything."

Carlisle sighed as he knew this needs to be discussed as a coven/family. "I need everyone to be here to see if this is the right decision."

"That's all I'm asking for."

The next day, Julia stood in front of her closet trying to figure out what to wear. Her thinking was interrupted when she heard someone at the door. "Coming!"

Calvin heard her and waited. He wasn't nervous about telling her. He was afraid of her reaction, but she needs to know the truth. When the door opened, Calvin knew it was now or never. "We need to talk."

"Is something wrong?" Julia asked as he walked in.

"I'm a vampire, Julia."

Julia stared at him shock. She wasn't scared, but shocked that vampires are real. Calvin knew that was a mistake telling her. She was afraid. Julia watched as Calvin went to leave, but she grabbed his arm. "I'm not afraid. Just trying to understand how you guys are real."

"I've been trying to find out myself since 1935." He tells her. "I would never hurt you."

Julia smiled as she did want to know one thing. "Would you like to tell me your story?"

"Of course."

Julia smiled as she grabbed his hand and dragged him to the couch where he can start. "Okay, tell me from the beginning."

"Emmett is actually my brother." He tells her. "In 1935, the two of us went hunting with our friends. At the time, I never knew about the bear till it was too late." He sighed. "I thought I died till I woke up to see Emmett standing with Rosalie. She saved us, but me, she knew there was something between me and Emmett. That's why she changed me because..."

"Something told her that you two were brothers." He nodded. "Calvin, I hate what you went through, but I'm glad you're here."

Calvin smiled as he knew he fell in love with his mate. "I am too."

Julia smiled as they continued to know each other better. She never felt connected to someone before, but now, Calvin change that. It's not a crush. I'm in love with Calvin Cullen.
