Four: Julia's Fear

Julia saw a little girl playing with her friends till she was dared to go into that small room. She remembered that day. The day she became claustrophobic. "No." She said as she ran just for herself to be in that small room. "No!"

"Daddy!" She screamed out as she raised up in her bed crying.

"Julia!" He said as he ran in. "Shhh. It's okay."

Julia didn't say much as she held onto her dad. She never wanted to think of being left in a tight space like that ever again. Charlie sighed as he knew that was terrifying for Julia, but there was nothing he could do to help besides be there for her.

Calvin stood by his car waiting for Julia to arrive when he saw Charlie bringing Julia to school. "Are you sure about being here?"

"Yeah." She responded as she yawned. "I'll talk to you later, daddy."

Calvin was confused as to why she was with her dad. He walked over to her and touched her arm causing her to look at him. "Hi."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah." She said. "I'm tired is all."

Calvin held her still as she almost fell. "No, there is something bothering you. Come on. You are going home."

"But..."

"I'll call Charlie and let him know."

Julia sighed as he picked her up and carried her to his car. He opened the door and placed Julia in the passenger seat and shut the door as she dozed off. Calvin looked at her as he stood in front of the car. "That was fast."

The others watched as he got in the car and drove off. Calvin didn't know what was going on, but if she didn't want to tell him then he will understand.

At the Swan's, Calvin was reading when he heard screaming. He quickly went to Julia and grabbed her. "Julia!" He said. "It's okay."

"I-I can't breathe." She tells him.

Calvin had her look at him. "Look at me and calm down."

Julia looked at him, but couldn't causing Calvin to do something that he has been dying to do again. Kiss her. Julia was shocked at first, but kissed him back as she started to calm down. Julia pulled him back as she laid on the bed, but Calvin stopped. "What did I do wrong?"

"Nothing, but I don't think you're ready." He tells her. "You need more sleep."

"Will you stay?"

"As long as you tell me what happened when you wake up."

Julia nodded, but sighed. "I can't." She tells him.

"Want to talk about it?"

"I keep dreaming of being in a small tight space." She tells him. "My so called friends put me in this room when I was 6 and forgot about me, or so they claim. I screamed as loud as I could till daddy found me."

Calvin wiped a tear and kissed her head. "It's okay." He said.

Julia smiled as she laid down. Calvin held her close as she finally went to sleep. Calvin smiled as he learned another thing about Julia. Her fear.

Julia woke up to be alone in her bed. She looked around and sighed till she saw a note.

Julia,
I'm sorry that I left, but my family called. I have something to tell you tomorrow.

"What do you have to tell me, Calvin?" She mumbled as she laid back down and fell asleep.
