All masons hair down the in the floor as they buzzed his hair down
All his beautiful curls
Gone
I wanted to cry

Tomorrow there cutting his head open and removing his tumor
I'm just ready for this to be over

We went home
Mason: mommy
Me: yes baby
I looked back as he rubbed his hair
Mason: it pokey
Me: I'm sorry baby it'll grow back

Me: one day

Mason: can you stay the night again

He looked to me and I nodded

We got home
And I fed the kids
And I put presley to bed
And me and Mason and q watched a Disney movie until he fell asleep on the couch
I'm so fucking nervous for tomorrow

Quinton took mason upstairs to his bed and I followed going to my bed
Quinton: I'm gonna go sleep in the guest room
Me: okay you could sleep in here but if you want
Quinton: are you sure
Me: yeah
He came in and we laid down going to bed

The next morning
I woke up and took presley to jadens house for him to watch her for the day
And went home and made him the best breakfast he could ever have

And we went to the hospital

Him in a gown in the bed as I held his hand
Mason: mommy you hurt me
Me: huh
Mason: too tight mama
Me: oh I'm sorry Mason
Mason: it's okay mommy

Quinton took my hand and held it giving my something to squeeze
Dr brown knocked and came in
Brown: hey Mason
Mason: hi
Brown: are you ready for your big day
Mason: what I doing
Brown: well
He looked at us and I shook my head no
Brown: we're gonna put you in a big room and put this mask on your face and you'll breath in this gas that can taste like anything you want and then once you wake up you will feel so so much better
Mason: like pancakes
Brown: we have bubblegum or strawberry or ice cream
Mason: ice cream!
Brown: that's what you went
Mason: yes please
Brown: okay ice cream it is, you'll taste ice cream and then fall right asleep
Mason: why I take nap mommy
Brown: because it'll make you feel so much better
Me: he won't feel anything
Brown: no we have really good numbing for kids his age he'll be asleep and he won't feel a thing once he wakes up though the numbing will wear off and there will be discomfort but other then that he should be okay
Me: thank you so much
Brown: ofcourse
Brown: alright mason? Ready to go
Mason: uhuh
We went to this big room and put him in a bed
Brown: say bye to mom and dad you'll see them when you wake up
Mason: bye bye
Me: goodnight mase I love you
Mason: I love you too mommy bye daddy
Quinton: be good mase
We went to another room
Trying not to watch hours and hours go bye
And when I tell you quinton has been the most caring human in the world
He has been so sweet
We're sort of giving it another try

He's over often the kids love us being all together again
Around 6 pm
Dr brown came in removing his gloves
Brown: he did really good, we removed all of it, you should see most symptoms go away we gonna send you home with pills for the pain and to keep everything good avoid shampoo or conditioner for a while just antibacterial soap and dry good. The scar will be prominent for a while once his hairs back you'll see it less but even then make sure it's completely healed
Me: okay
Brown: other then that and seeing him every 3 months for the next 5 years I hope to never ever have another conversation like this again with you guys
Quinton: five years
Brown: we do like to do regular checkups to make sure he's cancer free and after five years you the rate of it coming back is severely low
Me: okay
Brown: so we just want to make sure and nip it in the bud if it does happen
Me: okay
Brown: when he wakes up y'all are allowed to go see him
Me: thank you
Brown: ofcourse
He left and I hugged Quinton
Quinton : hey he's okay, it's okay now
Me: thank god it could've went really bad
Quinton: yeah but it didn't
We sat there
And it felt so nice

We went in masons room when he woke up
Mason: what happen mama
Me: nothing baby do you feel okay
Mason: uh huh my head hurts mommy

Me: it'll feel better baby
Mason: okay I sleep good though

Mason: can you live with me and mommy and presley forever
Me: yeah mase
Quinton : yeah
Mason: daddy moved back in?
I looked at him
Quinton: yeah buddy we're gonna live together again

A couple hours later
They cleared him to go home
Presley: mama
She walked to me
Me: hi baby
I picked her up and quinton kissed her head
Me: pres do you want daddy to move home
Pres: daddy yaya
Me: okay
I put them to bed
Quinton: if you don't want me to that's fine
Me: q it's okay it's something they want and really I think it'll be better for everyone
Quinton: I'll move my stuff to the guest room
Me:You could sleep in our room if you want
Quinton : are we sure? It hasn't been long
Me: yeah but i trust you
Quinton: okay
