Eclipse of nightmare

Chapter nineteen

Third POV
It was dark and quiet out there. Cyrus was laid on his back on the bed at Alice's house. he was holding a deck of playing cards. There was a single card in his right hand, which he had been flipping back and forth, it was the queen of hearts, and the depiction of the queen looked suspiciously like Alice, with brown almost black hair and the haze of bark eyes. The girl sat in front of him. they were alone in her room. Mccall flashed the lighter and looked at Cyrus. "You're going to do a magic trick?" The boy asked with a chuckle  "No... But you are." Alice looked at the small fire and that at her mate. She smiled. Her pebble brown eyes pierced through his greenish ones. "I only know one trick, and it's with a playing card." "Well, this one involves a lighter and your hand." "This is sounding less like a magic trick and more like assault..." Cyrus said giving her his hand. Even though he was skeptical he tasted his mate fully. Alice took a lighter and pointed at the boy's palm. "Feel anything" "no nothing" the girl put a lighter aside and looked at Cyrus's palm. There was a spot of ash on the place where Alice burned him. "Is it a good sign or..." "well it does say something at least that you're not a human, you healed fast at the hospital, and now this" the teens laid down. Alice put her head on his shoulder. The boy chuckled "you know it's ironic my father died in the fire and now I'm connected to the fire it's like a big fucked up joke."

Scott, Stiles, and Deaton ran into the station. There were Baron, Everett, Luna, and Blake with them. Stiles called them on the way to the building. There was blood all around the place. Grunts and screams were heard. One of the officers was trying to help the sheriff to get up. Scott ran up to them. The others went to another room following the trail of blood. Stiles stopped abruptly. The boy couldn't move seeing Lydia on the floor in the puddle of her own blood. Everett took off his belt and ran up to the girl putting it around the wound. "Scott" there was a giant lizard tail on the floor Deaton put the Jaket on it to hide it. "Where is Alice," Blake said worrying about her Alpha. Yeah, Alice was her Alpha and her anchor even though she didn't realize it yet but deep down she always has known.   Suddenly Lydia's mother ran up to the girl with horror in her eyes "oh god"  Luna found her brother on the floor he was paralyzed but not hurt badly. The girl stayed with him while Baron Blake and Scott continued following the trail. "Stiles, stiles come on" Scott called out. "It's okay she will be all right" Everett assured the boy. "Tracy help, Tracy," "stiles" "go" they ran down into the basement finding Tracy passed out and Alice and Malia kneeling in front of her. "It wasn't us" the girl said quickly "what the hell happened to her" Scott asked "it was them the doctors. They injected something and she passed out" Deaton came up to the unconscious girl "Okay... She's not changing back. We're going to need to get her out of here."
"What? Hey! Absolutely not! This is a crime scene... we call the coroner." the sheriff said
"I think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail..." Blake said  "I don't care..." " You should... Unless you're prepared to hold a press conference announcing the presence of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills." Deaton looked up at the man "Dad, he's right." " Maybe at the clinic, we can figure out how to change her back, then call the coroner?" Scott suggested
"There's a line... there is a line that we have to draw." "Dad, you've already crossed it, more than once" Stiles vowed "Sheriff, please. Let me help. I've dealt with things like this before." "Just do it fast." the man has given up.  The group took the girl and left.

"Tracy was buried?" Scott Liam and Cyrus barged into the hospital "Buried alive. Crawled out. Then, we found another hole." Liam explained "there is a high chance that me and Austin we're buried too, but this hole was far from the place where we had woken up." Cyrus continued  "Who was buried in that one than?" " we don't know... But I think we're gonna want to find out."  the boys left the elevator and joined the others. "Stiles..." Melissa came up.
"How bad is it?" the boy asked  "Could have been worse." the woman looked at the other boy "Everett nice going on that tourniquet. You probably saved her life. All the right. She's about to go into surgery, so it's going to be a while. Any other supernatural details that I need to know about, or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?" Melissa looked at them "It was the tail." Harlan replied  "Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference." "Okay." "But it wasn't just Tracy. There were the others-- the guys in the masks." Malia muttered. Cyrus looked at his mate "it was them wasn't it" he asked "yeah," Alice said.

Harlan, Cyrus, Baron, Everett and Alice were up in her room while Kira and Scott were downstairs. And at Stile's house at the exact time were Everett Malia Blake and luna discussing the events.  "Sorry to interrupt" Deaton started entering the room "A Werewolf with the talons of an eagle... possibly a shapeshifter known in Eastern mythology as a Garuda." the man showed the jar "Tracy's claws. The unmistakable claws of a Werewolf. But, a Werewolf who also bears the venom and the scales of a Kanima." "What do you even call that?" Kira asked " Personally, I call it terrifying. But, at the moment, I'm more interested in how Tracy was able to get across the mountain ash." "I thought nothing supernatural can do that." "As did I. So, if Tracy was able to cross the mountain ash and no one supernatural can do that..." " ...Tracy's not a supernatural." Scott murmured  "Exactly. If she wasn't born, and she wasn't bitten, she had to have been made." "Made?" "Someone is trying to make supernatural creatures with non-supernatural means. And, whoever they are, they're somehow managing to blur the lines between science and the supernatural." Deaton explained "chimera" Cyrus said coming down the stairs with his mates "when we were at the stables back in our world they came to us they pointed at me and said one word "chimera" The mythological creature  a lion with the second head of a goat's and a tail that ends as a snake." the boy said.
"But there's more. Liam said he found another hole out in the woo"ds." Scott continued after a moment "Burying them could be a part of their process... a kind of incubation." Deaton assumed  "What are we supposed to do?" Alice asked "Same thing you've always done. Protect your friends. Protect each other."  "So, what about someone like Tracy? Someone like Cyrus and Austin" Scott asked
"I wish I could tell you. Hopefully, I'll have more answers soon. I'll be gone a few days." the man said  "You're leaving" "Just a few days." "How scared should we be?" " I've lived in the world of the supernatural a long time... But I'm still a doctor. Still a man of science. Something like this happens? It rattles the foundation of everything you believe. Something like this shakes you to the core." Deaton explained  "Something like what?"
"The rules... The rules have changed."

Austin opened his eyes. The boy looked around and became madly confused and scared. He was surrounded by trees and bushes. The teen was in the forest. He got up and looked around suddenly he heard something the noises were coming from the bushes. Given his luck, it couldn't be something as innocent as a squirrel so he ran. Austin ran but after a few minutes, he understood that he didn't know how to get out. "I need more time, just give me more time and you will get what you want" Austin heard someone. It was the guy from the school, what was his name again right Theo. The boy hid but realized that he needed to get out of here. Out of nowhere the forest changed into the lab where he woke up first and than back. He heard static noises and the doctors appeared behind him. He ran calling Alice on the way "Alice, Alice help they are after me they are.." the boy couldn't finish as the syringe was injected inside his neck. The boy fell. "Austin, Austin you hear me where are you, Austin I'm coming hold on Austin" Alice's panicked voice was heard from the other side but the boy couldn't hold his eyes open he laid on the cold grass with mercury coming out of his mouth.
Alice ran following Austin's scent. When the girl ran deeper into the woods she smelt blood and mercury mixed up with his scent. She came closer and closer and found the boy on the grass "Austin, Austin" the girl kneeled taking him in her arms "Theo, there was Theo" the boy murmured before closing his eyes "no, Austin don't you dare to pass out, keep your eyes open okay, you will be all right, Austin" the girl wasn't aware that she was watched. She was not aware that there was a certain someone watching her from behind the trees planning her murder. "You will be fine Austin" the girl repeated deciding to take him to her house the closest place to the woods.
