Third pov
"Sorry, but I'd never even heard of the Kanima until a few days ago. You want me to read this?" Theo said, Scott just nodded even though he doubted him after what happened to Austin and what the boy told them  "Well, not yet. I'm still only on chapter one." he answered, "You guys do this a lot, huh?"  "Do what?" Scott was suspicious  "Get involved."  "Yeah, I guess..." "What about the author? If he knew all about these guys, shouldn't we be talking to him?" Theo said the boy trying to act as an ally but he couldn't acknowledge that the pack saw him as their enemy "We thought about that, but it's pretty much a dead end." Scott answered  "What about this guy?" " Look at this. Look at the "Acknowledgements" page."
"For providing scientific perspective and invaluable insight... this book is dedicated to Dr. Gabriel Valack."  "Do you know him?"  " Yeah. And I know where to find him."

Austin was in the bathroom washing his hands when suddenly his vision got blurred and the bathroom changed into that lab.  "The book worked. And now, they're going to see Valack. They're going tonight." He heard Theo's voice
"To Eichen." one of the dread doctors said.
"Ahh" the boy gasped "what the fuck" "Are we going to the Eichen to find Valack" he sent a text message in the chat. "Yeah Scott told me a few minutes ago, How did you know that," Alice wrote "Something is happening to me" "What's wrong" Luna texted "Visions, hallucinations I don't know will tell you when I see you" Austin left the room.

The teens drove towards the Eichen house.  "Hello? Anyone there?" Lydia asked over the intercom.
"Are you going to be okay in there?" Alice asked looking at Stiles remembering the past  "Yeah... Why?" The boy asked  "You just seem a little off..."
"I think we're all a little off," Scott said. "Yeah, I agree that you know this place makes me think," Everett said remembering the times his parents had locked him in such places. "Everything will be all right okay there is nothing to worry about" Stiles assured them and himself. "Aliceee..... Death" The voice was heard from afar a mere whisper that only Alice could hear. The girl just shook it off. "Please empty your pockets into the container." Schrader said  "We're here to see--" Luna started but was cut off  "Please empty your pockets into the container." The man repeated again. They did it and he looked at Kira "Please remove your belt and place it into the container."  " ...I kind of need the belt. I mean, it's crucial to the outfit." Kira tried but the man just replied in a monotone voice. "Please remove your belt, which patients will attempt to take from you and use to strangle either themselves or others."  "Right. Got it." "I'll remind you that I'm only doing this as a favor to Deaton, and I'm doing it against my better judgment."  "Hey, what's the etiquette for talking to this guy? I mean, do you ever look at the other eye?" Austin asked annoyed  "I wouldn't. In fact, while you're down here, try not to make eye contact with anyone or anything." the man answered
They were about to walk into the other room when the barrier stopped them only Stiles, Lydia Austin, and Cyrus were able to step in "You didn't think you were all going, did you?" Fenris looked at them
"It's mountain ash, isn't it?" Alice asked "Everywhere, but heavily concentrated down here Valack's cell is the last one at the end of the hall." he pointed  "We'll be right here." Luna said to the ones who were able to step in the room.
The teens went downstairs and in the end of the corridor they found this lone cell with a creepy man "Tell me what you just saw." he asked atiles 
"Me?" "The creature in the previous cell? The Sluagh? The myth is that they can take on the appearance of the lost souls that have become inextricably bound to it. Happen to have seen any lost souls, Mr. Stilinski?"  "Everyone down here..." Cyrus murmured  "Don't give up on us yet. We're all works-in-progress." the man looked at him
"Where did you hear that from?" Lydia asked
"Wise words from a former cellmate. Did you bring the book?" Austin showed him the book "Very nice. First edition. Of course, there was only one printing..." Valack murmured  "There is no T.R. McCammon, is there?" Cyrus asked  "No."
" You wrote the book." Lydia said  "That's right, Lydia. Maybe you've already guessed that it's not just a book."  "What is it?" Austin asked  "A tool... Designed to open your eyes." "To what?" Stiles looked at him "To them... The Dread Doctors." Stiles and Cyrus remembered that earlear Alice had a vision while reading the first chapter of the book. "Why did you use a pseudonym?" Lydia asked  " I had a professional reputation once-- I wasn't interested in ruining it by putting my name on a second-rate piece of trash." Valack replide
"Then why write the book in the first place?" Austin spat  " You haven't even read it yet, have you? I wrote it because no one believed me. Because no one listened. They're here, aren't they? In Beacon Hills?"  "What are they?" Cyrus asked  "Not entirely human. At least, not anymore. They were scientists once... Scientists who worshiped the supernatural. Tesla said, "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration." They found their secrets in electromagnetic forces-- ways to prolong their lives, give them power, and, most importantly, make you forget you ever saw them." the man explained  "What do they want?" Lydia asked
"Good question, Lydia. Everybody wants something, don't they?" "Okay, so what do you want?" the teens were getting annoyed  "Hit record." the man said giving the girl a small black subject  " What do you want me to say?" Lydia asked  "I don't want you to say anything... I want you to scream."
On the other side of the building the others were trying to listen but without a luck "I can't hear anything. Must be the mountain ash." Scott said
"I feel it, too. To be honest, I feel a little weak..." Kira said and the others nodded agreeing to her
"Yeah, it's like being sedated." Everett said  "This was a bad idea, wasn't it?" Luna looked up "They'll be okay without us. And those two? They're pretty good together." Scott resured  "Yeah, they are."
"He still likes her, doesn't he?" Kira asked  "Yeah. Yeah, but it's different now. I mean, you should have seen the way he used to be around her."
"Was it bad?" "He was kind of obsessive, but not all bad. You know, Lydia used to pretend not to be smart?" Alice said  "Our Lydia?" "Yeah. Stiles was the only one who knew." the girl said  "How?"
"He paid attention. He listened to her. He remembered."  "No way. Not happening. Sorry." Stiles said  "He's the only one that knows anything." "The guy is a nut-job who drilled a hole into his head! He's probably lying his ass off." Stiles said  " How many have died so far?
All of them teenagers? Am I right? Want to know how many died the first time they came here? Wonder how many more will die if they succeed?" Valack looked at them with a calm expression
"This did happen before." Austin guessed
"And now they're back-- all because a few teenagers who never even considered the consequences decided to reignite a supernatural force they barely understand." the man pointed out
"The Nemeton... "How do you even know about that?" Stiles spat  "I know... because I saw it!"  the light started to flicker on the other side of the building the teens were trying to make Kira stop. "Kira... Whatever you're doing, please, stop." Blake said  "I'm not doing anything. It's just happening." the girl said panicked  "Who did you come with?" Valack asked  " Our friends." Cyrus said  "What are they?"  "Don't answer." "You brought a Kitsune." Valack said angrily  "What's happening?" "She's disrupting the building's defenses."the man explained "What do you mean? How?" Austin breathed out "It's not just the mountain ash that keeps this building secure-- it's the electromagnetic energy. Eichen is built on the convergence of telluric currents. Ley lines. It's what allows it to keep certain supernatural creatures in... and certain others out. They knew you were coming. They're here. And you unlocked the door for them." by now everyone began panicking. "Kira? Kira..." Alice called out
"Are you all right?" Fenris  "Something's happening, and I think she's causing it." Everett said  "Hit record. Do it now! It costs you nothing." Valack told Lydia  "But it's worth something to you, so you're not getting it for free." Stiles argued "What does the book do?" Lydia asked  "Tell us." Austin looked at him  "I told you-- it opens your eyes." Valack said  "How?"  "It triggers the memory centers of the brain, clearing the fog and bringing the images of the Dread Doctors into focus. I wrote the book in an effort to find out if anyone else like me had ever seen them before. I thought I could circulate it, an effort to trigger someone's-- anyone else's-- memory. They'd see the cover, a hint of memory... They pick up the book, read it... The suppressed memories surface, and they'd find their way to me to discover more. Just like you did." the man explained  "Did it work with anyone else?" " You didn't see it on The New York Times' Best Seller list, did you?" Valack asked
"So, all we have to do is read the book?"  "If you've seen them, if they've done something to you... Then the book will help you remember. Now, give me what I want." the man said
"We need to get her out of here right now." Fenris asked there was lightning around the girl's body   "Yeah, well, how do we move her if I can't even touch her?" Harlan said angrily. "I think you better run." Ferris  "I can't leave her." Scott argued
"Lydia, we gotta go! Now!" Stiles said
"Read the book!"  "You don't have to do this. You don't have to..." Austin said to the girl but Lydia put the record closer to her lips and realized an ear-piercing scream " I think we're okay..." Lydia said coming out of the room  "Stiles?" Cyrus asked the boy who seemed to be in deep thoughts  "No, it's not okay. All of this? It's on us. Everything that's happened, everything that's going to happen-- it's our fault." he said  "It's our responsibility" Lydia added
