Tommy held Nikki's hand as they went down the stairs of the apartment complex.
"So... tell me your favorite place, birthday boy" Tommy said.
"Uhm... I don't really have a favorite place. What's yours?" Nikki asked, blushing slightly.
"Nah uh, this is about you, special boy" Tommy tapped Nikki on his nose. He brushed some of Nikki's hair out of his face. "So... where are we going?" He asked. He smiled warmly at Nikki.
"Let's go to your favorite, it'll make it special" Nikki said.
"Having you there is going to make it special" Tommy said. "Come on, do you mind if we take my bike?" He asked, looking over at his motorcycle.
"That'll be fine, I've... never ridden on one before though" Nikki said.
"I keep you safe, promise" Tommy said, he held out his pinky.
Nikki smiled and wrapped his pinky around Tommy's.
Tommy un-bashfully kissed Nikki's cheek before rummaging around in his motorcycle's storage compartment. He pulled out a bandana and a hair tie off his wrist. He spun Nikki around and put his hair in the hair tie, and the bandana underneath his bangs.
"To keep your hair nice" Tommy said.
Nikki watched Tommy put up his own hair and rev up his bike. He patted the space behind him and waited for Nikki to join him. Nikki reluctantly got on the bike, wrapping his arms around Tommy's wait and propping head on Tommy's shoulder.
"Ready?" Tommy asked.
"Yeah... I'm ready" Nikki said.
Tommy smiled and kissed the side of Nikki's head before peeling out of the parking lot.
Tommy pulled in front of a small local Greek diner. He turned his engine off and hopped off his bike, helping Nikki off as well. He held Nikki's hand again as they walked in.
The doorchime rang softly as they walked in. Nikki's seen this place before, he's sure they've slept out side of it before.
"Hey Mama..." Tommy said, rather shyly. They walked up towards the counter.
"Thomas! How are you love?"
"Good Mama, uhm... how is papa?" Tommy asked.
"Good! Do you want to see him? He is here" The woman gestured to the kitchen behind her.
"Uhm... okay" Tommy said.
The woman left and Nikki turned to Tommy.
"You seem nervous... are you okay?" He asked.
"I do not see my parents very often, since I ran away. But, they are my parents, and this is a special place for me, I wanted it to be special for the both of us" Tommy said sheepishly.
Before Nikki could speak, Tommy's father came from around the corner.
"Tommy my boy! What's up kiddo?" He said.
"Hi papa, how are you?" Tommy asked.
"Good son, what're you up to tonight?" He asked.
"I am here to have dinner with Nikki" Tommy said, he looked at Nikki endearingly, squeezing his hand gently.
"Oh how lovely, how is that boyfriend of yours Thomas?" Tommy's mother asked.
"Vinny is not my boyfriend. He talks too much and has loud feet" Tommy chuckled, causing Nikki to laugh quietly too. "Vinny has a boyfriend anyways. He is not bothered by the amount of space Vinny will take up. Uhm... anyways, we will be having dinner here" he said.
"Go pick a seat, son, I'll be over with waters" Tommy's father said.
"Thank you, Papa" Tommy said.
He took Nikki by the hand and sat them in the corner away from everyone.
"Vinny was never my boyfriend, I feel like I need to clear that" Tommy rushed out. "Him and Mick, very cute, very special" he said.
"They are really sweet together" Nikki said.
"Anyways, enough about them, it's about you now" Tommy said. "Like... what is your favorite color?" He asked.
"Uhm... y'know, I don't know if I have one, I like red, uhm..." Nikki looked into Tommy's eyes for a moment. "Brown is nice too" he blushed slightly.
"I like green" Tommy said. "Oh, you've got..." he started to say. He slowly and gently reached out and touched Nikki's cheek. "A little uh... black," he brushed some smudged eyeliner off Nikki's face. "You look nice tonight. I mean, you look nice every night!" He stammered.
"Oh Uhm... thank you, Tommy" Nikki smiled shyly.
They shyly and awkwardly looked away from each other when Tommy's father brought over water glasses.
"So... what're you boys having?" Tommy's father asked.
"Oh, uhm... we have not looked" Tommy said.
"Okay, your mother will be over to take your orders"
They both watched his father wander off.
"I do not know what you like, but they have like a..." Tommy made an awkward hand gesture. "Like a plate, we could share one if you would like"
"I'm cool with whatever you wanna do" Nikki said.
"You are cooooool with-" Tommy giggled. "I am mocking you a little, I am sorry" he chuckled.
"It's okay, I like hearing you talk" Nikki admitted.
"I like hearing you talk too" Tommy said.
By now, Tommy's mother made her way over to their table. Nikki listened to her and Tommy talk to each other in Greek, which he didn't mind it, he liked being able to see the content relationship between Tommy and his mother, something that he never had.
"You will like it, promise" Tommy said.
"Thank you for this, y'know, you didn't have to..." Nikki said.
"Well... it was Mick's idea, I did not know it was your birthday, but I love an excuse to have dinner with you" Tommy said, blushing.
"Well... maybe we can shoo the other two out once in a while and have a nice dinner by ourselves sometimes." Nikki said quietly.
"Shoo?" Tommy questioned. "Like..?" He bumped his foot against Nikki's. "Shoes?"
"Like... like we get them to go somewhere else for a night so we can have the place to ourselves" Nikki tried explaining.
"Ooh... shooo, I get it... I think" Tommy giggled. "Maybe you could make your favorite dinner one night"
"I could try, you might have to hold my hand through it" Nikki chuckled. "I'm not very good at cooking"
"That is okay, I will hold your hand through anything"
