A new start?

Tarrae's Pov

" Hey so um where are we going," I told Sid while he was driving, " I told you it's a surprise," he said

"You know I don't like surprises Sid, remember the last time you told me it was a surprise but then you threw me into a pool" Sid laughed making me laugh

" Ok fine I'll tell you, so they opened a house of mask near the area, and the owner invited us, also there's going to be a journalist there," Sid said

" Oh that's nice, can't wait to see the mask," I said, as he pulled onto the parking slot

After about two hours of talking and rating the mask, it was time to leave

" Well that was fun," I said closing his truck's door " I know right, where do you want to go eat," he said turning on his truck

" Um is there a burger place around here," I said with a huge smile on my face, he chuckled a bit " Yeah I saw one nearby, so how was it," He said starting to drive

When we got to the place, I went to sit down at one of the tables while Sid went to go order

I was staring at all my surroundings including the people until I noticed this one girl who stood out from everyone, not in a bad way, but in a way where I've never seen someone so beautiful as that

She had long box braids, soft brown eyes, and also wearing a red crop top shirt revealing her belly button piercing

Meanwhile, Sid came over and sat in front of me

"Hey, what you keep looking at" he said turning around, looking towards the girl and her friends smoking cigarettes

" Hey look, don't try to be like them ok, by the time they're twenty, they'll probably be in the hospital, Jesus where are their parents," he said looking down at the receipt

" Yeah," I said in a low voice looking the other way

...

" Number 6," The lady in the speaker said, Sid, stood up and walked towards the window, then my dad called me

" Hi sweetie are you with Sid right now," he said " Yeah am with him, is everything good, wait really, ok I'll tell him, see you there," I said before hanging up the phone

" Hey um Sid we need to go to the hospital right now"

" Why," he said " Oh because my dad called me and said Stephanie is currently in labor"... " Uh, ok, hey can I get a to-go bag for this, and the truck is open," he said taking out his keys

I walked over to the truck but before  opening it, I glared over at the girls who were still in the same place the last time I saw them, before I looked away I could sense the girl looking at me, but to avoid eye contact I went inside the truck

A few seconds Sid came inside and turned on the truck and rushed over to the hospital where Corey was

When we got there Sid went up to the front lady and asked for the room where Corey and Stephanie were

We got to the room and went inside, the first thing you could hear was a baby crying softly

I looked over to my left seeing Corey and Stephanie holding the baby

" Here," She said handing me the baby with a smile

I got a hold of the baby and I looked down at his face, and for some reason, he had some of the same features Norman had, like his nose, lips, and ears, and the rest were from Corey and Stephanie obviously

" So what's his name," I said looking at both of them, then looking back at him

" Griffin," my dad said

" Griffin I like it" I said with a small smile on my face...
