Bury All Your Secrets In My Skin

Tarrae's Pov

My eyes opened, to the bright beaming sun, blinding my eyes

I sat up from my bed, staring down at my feet

minutes after sitting in silence, I stood up and walked toward my bathroom

I grabbed my bar of soap and runned it under the cold sink water, I started rubbing it against my face and when my whole face was covered in soap, I grabbed a comb and face cream from a cabinet

I turned on the fossit and started splashing water on my face, then I took my messy bun down and proceeded to comb it

Soon I finished and started curling some pieces of my hair, soon I
was also finished with that, and applied some face cream all over my face

Before I left the bathroom, I added some make-up which was, lip liner, eyeliner, and face powder
When I was done, I walked out and went to my closet to choose my outfit for school

After a long time deciding on what to wear, I picked out a black spaghetti strap, flare jeans, and a black sweater
Meanwhile, when I was changing I could notice something in the corner of my eye like a black shadow

I looked over to my mirror and spotted Norman in the far corner of my room, just staring at me with a hopeless expression

I turned around to see if he was there but as expected he wasn't, then I turned back around to the mirror and he wasn't there anymore. I rubbed my eyes thinking I was probably hallucinating, which I maybe did. A big sigh came out of my mouth as I continued doing what I was doing before

When I finished I grabbed my backpack and some other stuff I needed that was in my room. I opened my door and walked downstairs, but my dad wasn't there, which surprised me since he's always on the couch just staring at his phone waiting till am done

But followed by my thoughts was a baby crying from upstairs, oh right I forgot he was a new kid to take care of, I jogged the stairs back heading to my room to grab keys for the door in case my dad doesn't answer when I come back

I got to school by taking a bus that was lucky around my area, when I entered the school's doors I was greeted with empty halls and silence, but what did I expect anyway it was 10 minutes ago since first period started, and it didn't bother me tho it was nice like this

The good thing about my science teacher is that she doesn't mind if we're late, mainly why a lot of kids skip half of her class, I was honestly thinking about doing it but I didn't maybe for the last period I would

It was 10 minutes before science class ended when someone who looked familiar to me entered, and was soon greeted by the teacher

" Oh class I'll like to mention we have a new student joining us, her name is Darleen, and please welcome her, your seat is over there sweetie," she said pointing to a seat

Then it hit me, it was the girl I saw at the burger place, but wow she looked more beautiful than I remembered, she had her long box braids pulled into a ponytail and a stylish black crop top with low-rise jeans

I needed to talk to that girl

After science class ended, I tried to find Darleen in the halls but she wasn't there so I went outside to find her, and she was there with the same people as last time, and with boys around her and her friends

I was about to leave until I saw Darleen walk away from the others, this was my chance to go talk to her, I followed her without anyone seeing me, and it led me to the bathroom where she was fixing her makeup

" Um hi," I said with a little smile " Hi" she replied looking at my outfit and then looking back at me

" I was wondering if we could hang out sometime," I said handing her my phone " Sure," she said taking my phone and adding her number " See you around," she said leaving the bathroom

A small scream came from me and I was jumping up and down in excitement

When school ended I walked home it was a long walk but it didn't bother me since I always use to do long walks in middle school

I opened the door to the house and immediately went to my room and got on my phone to text Darleen

T: " Hey Darleen"

D: " Hey, Tarrae, you wanna go to the mall"

T: "Sure I'll met you at 4"

D: " Ok see you"

I almost broke my phone from jumping around my room
