It Didn't Even Matter

Tarrae's Pov

Before I left for the mall, I grabbed 30 dollars and my phone

I walked out of my room and knocked on my dad's door saying " Am going to the mall Dad, I'll be home around 7" I said followed by an" Ok be safe sweetie" from my dad

I walked out the door and pulled out my keys from my pocket and locked the door, I went over to a bus stop that was a block away, and luckily it was there, I went on the bus and paid for my ticket, I sat near the middle and the entire time I was just looking out the window

When I got there I texted Darleen where she was and replied with " Am at Victoria's Secret with another friend" She introduced her friend as Blair, one of the first friends she first met since she moved here

I walked over to the store, it took a while to find them since the store was big, but eventually, I spotted them looking at thongs and lipstick

" Hey guys," I said in a low tone, they didn't even anything to me just smiled at each other than at me. I looked down at the prices and realized it was out of my budget

" Is there a problem?" Blair said, to which I said " I only brought 30 dollars" With a blank expression on my face, and again they gave each other the same look as last time, then followed by a huge laugh by the both of them

" This is how you do it," Darleen said taking two pairs of thongs and looking over to the only worker who was busy at the moment, then slipped it into her mini purse she had

I looked at her with a " Are you crazy" look, but before they said anything I said " Am going to go outside" and as I turned around I could them laugh which just made me feel like I was boring and lame

I sat on one of the benches outside the store when a person walked by accident dropping their wallet a few steps beside me, I was about to return it when I saw how much money it had, it was packed with 100 and 50 dollar bills

I ran back into the store and ran back to them to show them what I got when they saw the amount of money that was in there, they looked at each other with a surprised look and then back at me, Darleen took the wallet and ran out of the store and I and Blair followed her, who led us into a clothing store, everything nice we saw, we grabbed and walked over to the cashier and Darleen grabbed out about 500 dollars and handed it to the lady and said " There you go that should cover it" but it was alright it didn't even put a dent in all the money we had

Finally, the lady put all the clothes into the bag, and we walked out soon heading over to Bath and body works, as last time we grabbed almost every product in the store, and are hands were filled with lotions, perfumes, makeup, and way more stuff we found, we paid for the items and decided to split all the remaining money between us which was a lot since us three both got 1000 dollars

" This was fun, we should do this more often," Darleen said to me, Blair left a while ago and we were walking to my house
" Yeah it was fun we should do this more often," I said as we were a street away from my house

"Oh hey, me and some other girls are going to this club and were wondering if you wanted to come," Darleen said " But wouldn't we get caught," I said, to which she gave me an annoyed look" Come on stop being a baby, with enough makeup you can look old enough" " Ok I guess" I said as we were approaching the house

I settled some bags down and took out my keys and opened the front door, I looked around the living room to see if my dad was in there and he wasn't so I told Darleen she could come in, guessing he was still in his room with Griffin and Stephanie, we walked upstairs to my room and placed the bags down on top of my bed " I think we should go tell my dad, you're staying over tonight" I said as she replied with" Good idea lets go" We walked out of my room and walked over to my dad's room, I knocked on the door and I heard a " Come in" by my dad, I opened the door to see him and Stephanie on the bed together watching a movie while holding Griffin in his arms

" Hey dad, am letting you know that my friend here Darleen is staying over is that fine" " Yeah it's fine, hello Darleen," he said waving, also Stephanie doing a small wave with a big smile " Ok thanks dad, love you," I said closing his door then walked back to my room, closing the door behind me, and immediately Darleen yelled " YOUR DAD IS THE LEAD SINGER OF SLIPKNOT AND STONE SOUR, WHY DID YOU NEVER TELL ME," she said jumping up and down in my room " I didn't think you knew them, I mean you don't look like you're the type to listen to metal" " Bro wdym I love metal especially slipknot, thats so cool, no wonder you have a big house"

A few hours later it was time to go to the club Darleen was talking about, she made me wear a black silky dress, with a full face of makeup, and curled my hair. And for her, she wore a matching black dress just shorter at the bottom, a full face of makeup, and putted her hair into a high ponytail with two strands sticking out in the front

" Ready," She said "But my dad has security cameras at the front door" " You don't know anything don't you," she said opening my window, " Oh smart" I said following her out the window
