I got into class the next day, my second day, and lied down with my arms on my desk as usual.
"Hey, you okay?" Haruhi poked me. "I'm tired." I huffed. "I meant after yesterday." She said. "No.... I don't know." I huffed again.
"Hey, who was that yesterday, Dany? Your sister?" The twins asked. "Your mom?" "Cousin?" They took turns guessing. "Nanny-slash-maid." I answered. "She's hot." They both said.
I raised my head to look at Haruhi and she gave me a smirk. "I won't tell a soul." She swore. "Thanks." I grinned.
Class started, and I dozed off for about half of it, I was so exhausted staying up all night worrying. Haruhi poked me awake when I really did fall asleep.
The lunch bell rang and I stayed in the classroom again with Haruhi. This time I brought a lunch and some peach liquor, as I did yesterday.
"Dany, are you an alcoholic or something?" She asked. "Nope. Just got a lot of issues and a drag queen who doesn't care if she supplies me with remedies." I smiled and opened the bottle. I took a whiff. "That smells amazing." I hummed.
"That smells really strong!" She said, crinkling her nose up. "That's what my mum used to say." I laughed before drinking. "What happened to your mom and dad?" She asked. "Long story, don't feel like telling it right now." I said and she nodded.
We talked as we picked at our food and I drank about a third of the bottle before the bell rang again. I hid it in my bag and tried to control my hiccups.
"If you get caught, I'm not helping you." Haruhi said to me. "Wasn't expecting-" hiccup. "-you to." I said.
Class started again, and my hiccups went away soon enough, and before I knew it. I was back in the Host Club.
"We have business today, so Dany, make yourself comfortable and at home." Tamaki said and I nodded, going over to a corner and lying down parallel to the wall, soon lightly dozing off.
"What a weirdo." I heard the twins say. I ignored them, as usual. Girls walked in and I got my phone out and texted Courtney saying I would be home a little after five. She texted me back saying she had to be at her gig at six thirty. She could pick me up.
"Say, Hikaru, Kaoru, who's that in the corner... Lying on the ground?" A girl asked. "That's Dany." They asked. "She's kind of weird." They said again.
"Dany, get up." Haruhi was suddenly over me, peering down. "No. I don't wanna." I stretched out and relaxed again. "Why the floor?" She asked. "Ask Courtney." I hummed.
"Dany, seriously." She whined. "Why?" I asked, looking up at her. "Cos no one booked me today, and I'm lonely. Now get up and have tea with me." She groaned. "And if I don't?" "I'll take your bag and dump out your drink in the restroom." She said, suddenly holding my bag in her hand. "You wouldn't dare." I shot up.
She started to walk away, but I got up and snatched my bag from her, hugging it to my chest.
"Kinda pathetic for one drink." She scoffed and pulled me over to her table. "You wouldn't understand." I mumbled as she poured me a cup of tea.
"If I wouldn't understand, spell it out for me." She said, sipping her tea. I just stared down and shook my head. "No point." I shrugged.
"Okay, tell me this. Rich family as yours, where are your parents, the rest of your family? Why do you just have Courtney?" She asked. "Courtney is my family." I huffed. "Sure, but what your biological family?" She asked.
"Long story." I hummed. "I've got time. I wanna know." She shrugged with a smile.
"Maybe later... Okay?" I whispered and she nodded. "Sure, later."
