Betrayal and breakups are tough
Leaving scars that can be rough
The pain it brings is hard to bear
When someone you love just doesn't care
Words once whispered with love and trust
Now cut like a knife, leaving us in dust
The promises made, they now seem fake
And the love we shared, was all a mistake
The heart that once beat as one
Now shatters, as the bond comes undone
The memories of love, now bring only pain
As we try to forget, but in vain
But in time, the wounds will heal
And we will learn how to feel
We'll find love again, and it will be true
And we'll cherish it more, because of what we've been through
For betrayal and breakups may hurt us deep
But they also teach us to take a leap
To love again, and to trust once more
And to find the happiness, we were searching for.
