My heart races, as I think of you
I want to be perfect, in all that I do
But my mind plays tricks, and my nerves are raw
As I try to keep up, with this unspoken law
I feel like a stranger, in my own skin
As I struggle to fit in, and blend in
I want to show you, the depths of my soul
But my fear of rejection, takes its toll
I'm quiet and reserved, in social scenes
As I try to hide, my insecurities and my dreams
But when I'm with you, it's different somehow
And I can't help but feel, a little more allowed
I want to be your everything, your sun and your moon
And I'll go to great lengths, to make you swoon
I'll learn all your likes, and cater to your needs
And in return, I hope my love exceeds
So I'll take a deep breath, and step out of my shell
And I'll show you the sides, of me that I've held
And though it may take time, for me to open up
I know that with you, I'll always find my way up.
