Miles and I have been "together" for a couple weeks now. I think I actually like him for real. The month is almost over. I don't know if I'm in love with him, but I do like him.

We were talking, right before classes started. "Hey Chloe, I was wondering... Well actually, this has been on my mind for a while..." He was rubbing his arm. "I like you, for real." He said. My face got warm.

"I like you too." I said. "Do you want to be my real girlfriend now?" I smiled. "Yes." I responded. He took my hands. Miles was smiling, he was happy. But not for long.

"Awe, that's a shame, have you replaced me already?" Miles' face went pale and he was frozen. I didn't understand why he was like that. But something about that sentence hit me.

"Miles..?" He didn't answer me. He looked terrified. I turned around. I saw him. "She your new girlfriend now or what?" I heard Miles breathe.

He stepped in front of me, I could tell he was trying to be confident, but I could see he was shaking. "What are you doing here, Anthony?" Now I get it.

Mr. Lambert said that name. I know who he is now. It's Miles' Ex.... The one that forced him to change Schools for something he didn't do.

"I came looking for you." He got closer to Miles, too close and I could see that Miles was uncomfortable, scared. "Leave him alone," I stepped in.

Anthony turned to me. "Found a good one, eh?" Miles frowned. "I dumbed your ass, you were supposed to leave me alone." I could feel the trembling from Miles' body.

"I didn't promise anything." He snickered. I watched as Anthony lifted his hand, and used a finger to bring Miles' face right up to his. "I'll be back soon, don't miss me too much." He let go of him and walked off.

Miles fell back and I caught him before he fell. He was shaking like crazy. "I-I never t-thought I would h-have to s-see him a-again.." His voice was shaky and weak.

I helped him stand up right. "Hey." I said. "Look at me." He did. "We're going to get through this. You and me. He's not going to hurt you again. I won't let him. Okay?" Miles wiped away his tears.

"Okay." I put my hands on his face. "We will get through this.. I promise." His shaking hands made their way to my face, and cupped my cheeks.

He leaned in, I did the same. This is going to our first kiss, mine, not his... But I don't think he wants to count that, only if they have...

The kiss was soft and sweet. We pulled away after a few seconds. I rested my forehead on his and he did the same. "I can get used to this..." He whispered.

We stood there long enough for the Bell to ring. "We should get to class." I mentioned. "Yeah. See you at Lunch?" He asked. "Yep." I replied.

We began to walk it separate directions, unaware of our still combined hands. I began to giggle and let go. Then I remembered that Mr. Lambert put him in my class to keep an eye on him.

"Wait!" I called after him. He stopped. "You have Math with me, remember?" He shrugged. "Whoops, forgot." I rolled my eyes. He walked back up to me.

We held hands again and together we went to class. Luka was already there. He looked at our linked hands. "Dating for real now?"

Miles and I looked at eachother. Luka squinted his eyes at us. "Fine. Whatever, go about your couple business." He spat, shooing us off with his hand.

I frowned and took my seat beside him. "What's wrong?" He glanced at me then looked away. "Nothing." There's definitely something wrong. "I know you're still sad, but you can't keep thinking about it. You'll just make yourself more upset. Finding someone new will help you." I'm not sure if he will ever get over it.
