Chapter 82 - Head Above Water (Chloe/Queen Bee)

I will not drown, I will keep my head above water. Even if there are people who try to hold my head under the water, I will bust through their grip because I have people who will pull me out of the water. And because they do it for me, I have to do it for them.

I have to do it for my friends, my family, my home. I have to do it for every single person I love. Even if there are some I don't exactly get along with... I still need to keep them safe. As a Superhero, that is my job. It's also my job to make sure none of my friends get themselves into trouble. Like Adrien did. And Luka. Both of them, really.

How in the world they ended up in the situation they are now-dating again-is beyond me. Adrien told us it just happened and that Luka was the one who asked and Adrien just said yes.

Earlier that day we were fighting against this super angry girl that was sabbotoged in her ice skating competition. Nino told us the whole story. Something about how one little siquin can do a lot of damage on the rink.

He came up with this really smart plan to make her attack him. He taunted her a lot and then when she fired, he lifted up his shield and it reflected the attack and she ended up freezing herself instead.

It was like the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I was just glad Nino was okay, because then Alya would have killed him for risking his life. I would probably do the same thing if Miles also had a Miraculous and did what Nino did.

Miles and I have been dating for such a long time. At the beginning, it was a bet, to see if we would fall for eachother. I never believed it would happen. But it did, and I have never been so glad to have said yes to him suggesting this ridiculous idea to date until we fell in love. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't change a thing and I would say yes all over again if I was given the chance.

But I should be careful with what I say about going back in time, because you never know, Hawk Moth could possibly Akumatize someone and give them that power. I need to be ready for when that day comes.

I know I said I would be ready for when the day comes, but I didn't expect it to be today! What if this time crazed idiot sends me back to the day I met Miles and messes with the past so it's rewriten as we never decided to date and were just maybe or maybe not friends? He would have never changed if I wasn't there to help him.

He would still be that arrogant jerk that first came to our School and tried to skip class. He would probably be worse. I wouldn't be able to handle the old version of Miles staying permanently. That's why I had to avoid this time dude's power as much as possible.

I can't let him know I have a weakness about when in the past I don't want to go back to. He better not go after my friends either. That would immediatly get him on my bad side without question.

Once I'm in my protective mode there's no stopping me. "Ack!" It happened so fast I didn't have time to react and even relize it was happening. Viperion was hit.

It took everything not to cry out his real name. I imagined it might have been even harder for Juleka not to cry out his name. She wouldn't of even had time, because she was in shock from Luka getting hit, she got hit too.

"We have to get out of here! Somewhere safe!" Ladybug cried out. Viperion and Purple Tigress were unconsious so we had to carry them away and get them out if danger.

We barley escaped the Supervillain with our lives. "Is everyone okay?" Ladybug panted. Carapace could only nod since he was so out of breath. He and Rena carried Viperion the whole way here while Ladybug and I carried Purple Tigress. Chat Noir spent that time making sure we got away safely it was a miracle he wasn't hit too.
