"AS LONG as I am here, Toman will never lose!"
Even after his body was all bruised up, Takemichi's impenetrable willpower shook every single delinquent on the battleground which caused them all to fall silent. Even Kakucho was at a loss for words at his admirable eagerness to win and was having second thoughts to proceed with their one-on-one fight. Anyone would've wavered at Takemichi's high level of perseverance.
Izana was the only one unaffected by his battle cry and seemed to have grown impatient with the fight's overdue. "What are you still doing, Kakucho? Hurry up and end this foolishness now!"
"Kaku-chan will not win against me," Takemichi stated confidently, making the Tenjiku's commander arch a puzzling eyebrow at his nonsense babbling. "He doesn't have enough determination to do so. I could tell it by just looking at him."
"So you are telling me, you have it then, Takemichi?"
With a gun in his hand, Kisaki pushed Kakucho to the side and pointed the barrel at Takemichi's forehead. Everybody stirred at the dirty trick he pulled.
Kisaki was grinning amusingly. "'I won't lose even if I die.' That kind of determination, am I right?" he ridiculed.
However, Takemichi didn't bat an eye and was only standing his ground, not getting intimidated by a simple gun. His bright blue eyes were yielding a strong conviction due to his lifelong experiences as a time leaper. He had a heavy responsibility weighing on his shoulders as someone who had the ability to change the future. His tenacity made Kisaki stand frozen in his place.
"What's holding you back, Kisaki?" Takemichi prodded with a simple smile. His provocation pushed a distressed Kisaki to pull the trigger and shot him in the foot. But that mere gunshot didn't back him down either. He just continued to taunt the other teen. "What's the matter? I won't die if you are aiming just my foot!"
Takemichi already witnessed all sorts of cruelty, particularly the repeated deaths of his friends and Hinata. Also, his cousin's miserable life. It was as if he was trapped in a time loop of endless despair. Therefore, he had nothing to be afraid of. Not even his own death. There were a lot of reasons for him not to lose. That was why he was always trying his best. Even if he was to be the sacrificial lamb just to give a better future for everyone, he will do it without hesitation.
"I don't have charisma like Mikey. Nor did I possess a sharp sense of intuition such as Akari's."
Kisaki gritted his teeth in vexation while still pointing the gun at the faux blonde. "What the hell are you talking about?!"
