Maeve's POV:
You know,
I imagined my first time being hand cuffed to a bed to play out a lot differently than this.
Before the four guys left to meet with my father, Luke dragged me into this hell hole of a room at gun point, using tight metal cuffs to attach my hands to each side of the headboard, and my feet at the foot of the bed.
"This is how I should always see you, sweetheart." He had smirked, locking the last cuff around my ankle.
He then wiped his nose with his thumb, giving me a short nod before exiting the room, leaving me here completely alone.
I don't know who he is,
To me, Luke had become a total stranger.
He was not the same boy I knew all those years ago.
And I couldn't imagine why he's changed so drastically within that amount of time.
I roll my eyes at the thought, lifting my head up a bit as I continue yanking on the cuffs that wouldn't budge, the sound of the metal slightly clinking against the wood was already giving me a headache.
"This is so fucking stupid." I sigh to myself, leaning back down.
This cannot be my life.
One second, I'm in the comfort of my home, cooking myself something to eat before laying in my bed, watching a stupid show about stupid people falling in love with one another.
Then the next thing I know I'm waking up in the middle of a random living room, on a very uncomfortable couch, trying to run for my life.
Am I surprised by all of this?
Surprisingly, no.
In my family's line of work, this was something that could've been expected to happen. At least once in my life.
Thank god it happened now and not thirty years from now, I just learned that move I used on Ashton a few weeks ago.
It was nice and fresh.
However, am I surprised that it was done by none other than someone who was supposed to be on our side?
Absolutely.
Lifting my head up once more, I find my eyes scanning the room, turning my head left and right at such a slow pace.
My neck has never hurt this bad.
Continuing to examine the room, I realize this had to be the most bland and boring place I've ever been too. The only furniture in this room being the bed I laid-
No, not laid.
The bed I was strapped to.
My eyes land onto the side table that sat to my side, just one singular lamp resting on it, and a bookshelf across the foot of the bed, layered in many leather back books.
The walls were completely bare, absolutely no personality within this room.
But honestly, none of these guys seem to have any sort of exciting personality within them.
I hope for their sake this is the guest bedroom, but given the size of this house, I could only assume it held three, maybe four rooms.
A soft tapping sound against the wooden door catches my attention, turning to see none other than Calum entering the room, the same goofy smile plastered on his face from before.
"Hey," he smiles, before furrowing his brows at me, "did that mother fucker seriously leave you like this the entire time we were gone?"
"Oh no," I say sarcastically, "I just got bored and decided to lock myself up. It's a new magic act I wanted to try."
