Maeve's POV:
Blood.
Lots and lots of blood.
Fluorescent lights and the aroma of tobacco.
I remember this.
The smell, the feeling, the anticipation.
My eyes blink fast, the view of my mothers kitchen and her white marbled floors come into view. My knees cool underneath me while my eyes watch two hurried legs walking beside the table I hid under.
Why was I hiding?
"Chad!" I hear him call out, the tired, pubescent voice.
He was young, that I do remember.
The young boy enters into view, and his eyes flash over to me. He sees me.
He knows I am here and hiding from him.
But, instead, he locks eyes back with my brother.
"Listen man-" Chad begins, slowly backing away from where the young boy stood.
"I am through with listening to you, and so is everyone else." the boy growls, taking taunting steps closer and closer, his legs now right in front of me,"You should have known better-"
"I was only helping him out!" Chad yells, "You know that as well as I do."
The young boy only chuckles, pulling out the black weapon as he holds it directly to Chad, "The only one you were trying to help was yourself. You know I have to do this."
"No, please!" Chad cries.
The young boy looks down, his eyes now gleaming to me as his face hides behind a hood, the only noticeable part being the whites in his eyes and his lips, "I'm sorry you have to see this." he whispers.
"NO!"
BOOM.
Jolting awake, I find my body running with goosebumps, but my face sweating and my hair was sticking to it. My lips sat slightly parted, trying my best to gulp down any breath I seemed to have lost.
My heart would not stop thumping against my chest, a ringing in my ears beginning to die down as my head begins to stop spinning.
Calm the fuck down, Maeve. It was just a nightmare.
Turning my eyes every which way, I lock them down on the tall slender figure standing in the doorway, his eyes wild and red as a look of anger spews across his face, "Did you not fucking hear me?" he growls, "I said get the fuck out of my room."
"I-" I look at him confused, my brain now locking in on the fact that I was indeed in Lukes bedroom, in Lukes bed, and changed out of my clothes from the night before, now only wearing a long t-shirt I don't recognize, and my underwear, "why am I in here?"
"How the fuck should I know?" Luke barks, stalking his way over to the bed, "I don't care how you got in here, just get the fuck out!"
This man had to have seen the way I woke up, the obvious discomfort I knew was well written across all my features, and from all the drinks last night, my brain felt like it was pounding against my skull, so why was he being such a dick?
"Why am I in your bed dressed like this Luke?" I question, before my eyes widen, my jaw beginning to drop, "Oh, oh god, we didn't-"
"NO!" Luke shouts, his hands rushing through his blonde curls as the annoyance grows, "I don't know why you are in here, I didn't let you in, and now I just want you out! I am in no mood to deal with anyone right now, especially you." he spits.
