El's POV:
I woke up and by now it was bright outside. I saw the curtain slowly swaying in the wind. Shit, I must've forgotten to close it. I slowly unwrapped a hand from around Max and used it to close the window with my powers.

The sound made Max stir, but luckily she didn't wake up. But what did wake her up was Joyce calling for us downstairs. I saw her open her eyes slowly and she sat up to look at me before lying back down.

"We have to get up, Joyce called for us." I chuckled, turning to face her.
"Do we? I don't think we do." Max mumbled, pulling me closer to her.
"Come on." I said, gently kissing her forehead.
"Fine." Max groaned, getting out of bed.

I laughed and got clothes out of my closet. "Borrow my clothes if you want. I'll be in the bathroom."
She smiled and I walked into the bathroom to get washed up and ready.

20 minutes later, I was ready. This is what I was wearing.

It's really hot outside today so I wanted to wear something that wouldn't make me too warm

It's really hot outside today so I wanted to wear something that wouldn't make me too warm. I walked outside the bathroom and knocked on my door.
"Come in." Max said.
I opened the door and smiled as I saw what Max was wearing. Here's a picture.

I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist

I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "You're so pretty." I murmured, placing gentle kisses on her neck.
She put her hands on mine and smiled until she saw something which made her gasp. She leaned down and picked something up that made her face light up.

"El! You still have this?" She asked, holding it up

"El! You still have this?" She asked, holding it up.
"Mmm." I hummed, "I don't wear it anymore, but I'm gonna keep it. Good memories right?" I asked, giving her a kiss on the cheek before unwrapping my arms from around her.

"Definitely." Max agreed, hanging it back up. "Shall we go downstairs now?"
"Yeah, come on." I said, holding her hand before walking outside the bedroom.

I helped her down the stairs and we went to the table. Max sat down and I put my hands on the back of her chair. The boys were just sitting down too and Joyce was waiting for us there. "Alright. I have a... conference to go to. It's all the way in Alaska so I'll have to leave you guys alone. You're all old enough to look after yourselves, and I trust when I come back this place will be standing ok?" She smiled.

"School starts tomorrow, so everyone get to sleep early tonight. If there really are any problems, call Jonathan. I'll be back in a week." She kissed mine and Will's head before heading outside, bag in hand.

Will looked at me, confused, but I shrugged. I don't know what the hell happened but ok. "Well." Will clapped his hands, "What shall we do for the last day of the holidays?"
"Uhh, skatepark?" Max asked.

Dustin agreed, "Yes! Let's go to the skate store to get boards."
"Not a bad idea." Will said, "Let's go."
I smiled and we all headed out the door. "Don't bring your bikes, there's no point considering we're literally going out to get skateboards." Mike said.

We began walking to the store. "How far is it?" Lucas asked.
"Around 20 minutes I think? Not far." Will answered.
Max paled a bit, she's probably embarrassed everyone will see she struggles to walk for long distances now.
I put my arm around her shoulder, "Don't worry. We can do what we did before." I said quietly.

She had a small smile on her face and nodded. "Thanks Ellie."
I pulled her closer towards me, "Don't mention it."
We carried on walking until we came across the forest my cabin is in. "Ugh we have to go through this?" Dustin complained.

I chuckled, "I know the fastest way to the other side. Follow me." I entered the forest, and jumped over a fallen tree. I helped Max and the others came after. We took a few turns and by now we were already half way through the forest.

I knew the cabin was coming up so I braced myself. I haven't been there since the Mindflayer. I took one more left before I saw it. The windows were shattered and there was a massive hole in the roof. Smaller holes littered the walls, that's where the Mindflayer's arms burst through, trying to grab me.

I remember when it did grab me, which led to the massive hole in the roof. Luckily Lucas chopped its arm off.

Or when it was Halloween, and I dressed up as a ghost. But Hopper wouldn't let me go out. Which made sense now that I think about it. Or every dinner I used to have with him. I remember he was late coming home on Halloween. I also remember knowing my Mama was alive. Well, barely.

I felt a hand hold mine and I escaped my trance. "Good memories only remember? Like... the sleepover, or when the whole party used to hang out at yours." Max suggested.
I looked at her and then looked back to the cabin. "Good memories." I nodded. She squeezed my hand and smiled.

I turned to the others who were also looking at the cabin, "We're halfway there. Come on."
We carried on walking until we finally made it out the forest. Will then took the lead again since he knew were the store was.
