(Y/n) POV

As usual it was a beautiful sunny day in the Shire, but today was a very special day because today it was, Bilbo Baggins 111th Birthday, and it was, Frodo's 24th Birthday. Half the Shires been invited and the ones who hadn't were turning up anyway. But even better, Gandalf was coming!

———

When I was young I loved listening to, Bilbo's stories about him but I was still most excited about the fireworks, Gandalf had a special talent for them, and the last time the Shire had seen them was for, Old Took, and that was long before I was alive.

—————

When the sun started to set I got dressed putting on my little Hobbit dress and went down to the party.

———

Fireworks lit up the night sky, merry music, laughter and cheers filled the air as the party went on. Many Hobbits were stuffing their faces full of food as the little ones ran around.
Frodo and I were dancing together smiling and spinning too the merry music, till we spotted, Sam. He was sitting alone on a bench with a drink. I watch him and followed his gaze, he was watching Rosie, a girl he fancied for a long time. We made our way to him and sat on ether side of him. I grab his drink from the table and take a sip.

"Go on, Sam. Ask, Rosie for a dance." Frodo encouraged him.

"Mmm, I think I'll just have another ale." Sam sighed and stood up to get one realizing that I had his newly fulled drink.

"Oh, no you don't." Frodo and I smiled as I put down the now empty cup and we both stood up pushing Sam towards Rosie.

Rosie happily grabbed Sam and started dancing with him.
Frodo and I sat back down laughing as we watched Sam spin round with Rosie with the biggest smile on his face.
I turned to Frodo and grabbed his hand. My sudden movement surprised him but after realizing it was only me he smiled as I pulled him up and dragged him back to dancing.

All the dancing stopped as the the Hobbits looked up in the sky as a big orange rocket shot up into the sky and burst into sparks of orange before it took a turn and looked exactly like a flaming dragon heading straight towards us. The cheers turned into panic and screams as the dragon flew closer to us and Hobbits pushed their way through crowds trying to escape.

"Bilbo!" I heard Frodo call beside me as he quickly turned around around to find his Uncle after he'd given up on trying to pull me with him.

I didn't run like most everyone else I stood at watched knowing that if this was made by Gandalf he wouldn't do anything that was really going to hurt us.
I look up as it swept down passing over my head then the crowd of crouching and panicking Hobbits. The dragon kept flying till it flew over the lake and with a boom, exploded into the biggest and most beautiful fireworks I had ever seen.

"Oh!" Tons of relieved Hobbits gasped as they witnessed the show.

After that event they all went back to partying and eating, although it was by this point mainly eating.

"Speech Bilbo!" Hobbits called as they had enough to drink, smoke and eat, ready to cheer, laugh and clap and at anything Bilbo said. "Speech! Speech!"

I found a seat right beside Frodo and watched as Bilbo stepped up onto a couple of barrels in front of the crowd.

"My dear Bagginses and Boffins." Bilbo started. "Tooks and Brandybucks." After he called every name a groups of Hobbits would cheer and raise their glass. "Grubbs. Chubbs. Hornblowers. Boogers. Bracegirdles and Proudfoots.."

"Proudfeet!" Shouted an elderly Hobbit from the back, who of course was a Proudfoot and his feet were large and exceptionally furry and were both on a table.

"Proudfoot." Bilbo repeated. "Today is my 111th Birthday!"

"Happy Birthday!" Everyone cheered.

"And alas, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable Hobbits. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." When Bilbo said that everyone went silent trying to figure out if they were being insulted or complimented. "I, uh.." I watched carefully as Bilbo stuck his hand in his pocket and fumbled around for something. "I ha-have things to do." I watched closely as Bilbo held his hand in a fist and brought both his hands behind his back. "I regret to announce this is the end! I'm going now. I bid you all a very fond farewell. Goodbye." And just like that he disappeared.

Gasp's filled the air then chattering, but soon all the Hobbits agreed it was a very poor taste joke and everyone pushed Bilbo's disappearance off and continued the party.

———

Not long after I decided to call it a night and head off to bed.

—————

The next day it was sure enough that Bilbo was really gone. Because for the next couple of weeks I and Merry were helping Frodo make sure that every Hobbit got the bit of stuff that Bilbo left for them.
Bilbo had labeled everything he was giving away. I had caught a couple Hobbits trying to switch but they weren't the worst the worst were the Sackville-Baggins. Especially Lobelia who refused to leave. It took a long while to get rid of her but we finally did.

"You'll live to regret it, young fellow! Why didn't you go too? You don't belong here; you're no Baggins—you—you're a Brandybuck!" Lobelia angrily said to Frodo just as she was on the front step.

"Did you hear that, Merry? That was an insult, if you like." Frodo smiled as he shut the door on Lobelia, and I laughed.

"It was a compliment." Merry Brandybuck said. "And so, of course, not true."

After that long day I soon said goodbye and walked back to my own little home.

—————

A year had passed since Bilbo's disappearance and Frodo had decided he was selling Bag End and was moving to Buckland to live among his Brandybuck relations. Of course that was nothing more than a lie.

I was in something we called the conspiracy, it included Fatty Bolger, Merry, Pippin, I, and our chief investigator Sam, in our group we collected all the information we could about The Ring and and why Frodo must leave. Frodo must go to Rivendell and we all decide that we would go with him no matter what.
