Three weeks later.
Everything was going back to how it was, mostly.
Lo'ak and Tsireya were given their own pod, Roxto and Kiri were as well, and so were Raya and Neteyam.
Raya hadn't told Neteyam about her being pregnant yet. She didn't want that to be too much pressure all at once since he was just dead not even a month ago.
Yes, she had a little bit of a bump but if you didn't know she was pregnant you wouldn't be able to tell.
As she paced back and forth their pod with her hand on her stomach Neteyam walked in.
She hadn't noticed he walked in so he kinda stayed back a little.
"My love, you're pacing back and forth. What is wrong." He said as he slowly walked towards her.
She stopped walking and faced him putting her hands on her head. "Do you want kids?"
Neteyam looked at her confused and smiled. He walked over to her and grabbed her hands.
"My love, I'm ready to have kids whenever you are. All you have to do is ask." He held her hands up to his chest and smiled.
She let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "Remember before the war, when we went on our date night? When we mated?" Raya asked looking down at her feet.
Neteyam smiled. "That was the best night of my life, how could I ever forget."
She looked up at him and gave him a soft smile. "Neteyam." She said softly as she grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach.
Neteyam could feel a slight bump on her stomach. His eyes widened as he looked up at her.
"Are you pregnant?" Neteyam's face was full of shock.
Raya nodded. "Yes, I'm pregnant."Neteyam's smile grew even bigger. "When did you find out?" He looked up at her.
Raya's smile disappeared. "I found out the day before we were going to lay you to rest."
Neteyam's smile slowly dropped as he pulled her into a hug. "Oh my love, I'm so very sorry. I can imagine that was hard on you."
Raya nodded. "At that moment all I thought about was you and how I was going to raise this baby on my own."
Neteyam gave her a soft smile and placed a hand on her stomach. "Listen to me, I'm here now. You will never be alone again." He placed his other hand on her cheek and Raya smiled.
They were disrupted by a knock on their pod. They turned their head to see Tsireya standing there.
"Jake and Neytiri sent me to come get you both." She said softly.
"For what?" Raya asked as she noticed Tsireya had been crying.Tsireya sniffled and looked at Raya. "You guys are leaving. You're going back to the forest."
Raya and Neteyam both looked at eachother in shock. They both walked out and went straight to Jake and Neytiri's pod.
"We're leaving?" Neteyam asked as they walked in.
"Son let me explain." Jake said trying to reason with him.
"What about Tsireya and Lo'ak? Or what about Kiri and Roxto? Or Payakan?"Jake put his hands out to Neteyam. "Son, we have decided that while the Tulkun are on migration we will live in the forest, then when they return so will we. Lo'ak will be able to see both Payakan and Tsireya, and Kiri will be able to see Roxto." He then looked at Raya. "And you'll be able to see Ao'nung."
Everyone in the pod was silent. There was a lingering feeling of tension in the room but nobody thought much of it.
So, for the next three days everyone spent as much time as possible together and worked on packing.
——The time had come for the Sully's to return home. Everyone was saying their goodbyes.
Raya walked over to Tsireya and gave her a tight hug. "I love you so much, Reya. Never forget that." Raya said and they pulled away from the hug and Tsireya cupped her face.
"I love you too, Raya." They smiled and she moved away to let Lo'ak say goodbye to her.
She then looked at Roxto."Oh Roxto." She said as he wiped his eyes. She wrapped her arms around him and he instantly hugged her back.
"I'll miss you so much." He said through tears.
She nodded. "I know, but we'll be back in a few months."He pulled away and wiped her tears. "Don't miss me too much." Raya laughed and shook her head.
"Don't worry, I could never." She smiled and Roxto smiled back.
Raya then looked to her left and saw Ao'nung.
She walked over to stand in front of him."Ao'nung I-" Before she could finish he had his arms around her.
"I love you so much Raya." He said as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
"I know, Ao'nung. But like I said, we'll be back soon."He pulled away and looked into her eyes before planting a kiss on her forehead.
When he pulled away from her, she gave him a soft smiled.
"Raya, it's time to go." Jake said as he softly placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Until next time." Raya said to Ao'nung as she did the hand gesture and turned to face her ikran, Na'yi.She made the bond and climbed onto her back. Jake and Neytiri took off first, Lo'ak and Kiri following close behind.
Raya waved to Ao'nung, Tsireya and Roxto before Na'yi got on her back legs and let out roar.
She then took off straight up into the air high enough for her to completely let her self fall backwards and Raya and Na'yi did a backflip.
She then leveled out and flew a circle around her friends and the Metakyina clan, waving goodbye as she smiled at them.
"We'll miss you!" Tsireya yelled as she waved at Raya.
"And I'll miss you!" She yelled before flying over Neteyam who was still on his ikran on the beach. He then let out a call and took off after his mate, as they flew to catch up to the rest of the Sully's.
They all gave one last glance back at the village as they made their way back to the forest.
To their home.
