Neytiri and Mo'at had decided it would be best to keep the twins their little secret for the time being.
Yes, they knew it was wrong but the news of twins would put too much stress on Raya and her body before hand than it would be if she didn't know until birth.
Not only stress on her, but on Neteyam as well.
Neytiri did tell Jake though, which didn't go so well.
"Ma'Jake. You know there's nothing we can do." Neytiri said calmly as she kneeled down in front of her mate.
Jake let out a deep sigh and held his head in his hands. "Neytiri we can't lose her. Neteyam can't lose her."
Neytiri nodded and put her hand on his shoulder. "I know, Ma'Jake, I know."
"It completely ruined Raya when she lost Neteyam, I can't imagine how hard it'd be for him if he lost her."Jake looked up at Neytiri and saw a tear run down her cheek. She tried wiping it away before he could see but it was too late.
"We need to do everything we can to make sure her body's healthy and that she isn't stressed at all." Jake stated as he looked around their mauri.
Neytiri knew what that meant for the Sully's.
They would not be returning to the reef this season. If she went into labor while on the way there, she could freak out and there wouldn't be a Tsahìk to help her, and even if she didn't give birth on the way there she would be completely exhausted from the flight there.
Raya only had about three months till her babies were due and the Tulkun would be back in about the same time.
Neytiri's ears flicked at a sudden thought she had.
"Ma'Jake. What if we leave now?"
Jake tilted his head and looked at her confused.
"We leave in say, three days? That'll give the kids some time to see everyone and Raya could birth the babies there."Jake slowly smiled and nodded his head. "We could do that, except what about Mo'at? Don't you think she'd want to see them when their born?"
Neytiri shrugged her shoulders. "She can come with us."
Jake fully smiled at her and brought her in for a hug. "How long are we staying?" He said as they continued hugging.
"As long as it takes, Ma'Jake."
——Raya woke up to the sound of footsteps walking around the mauri. She fluttered her eyes open and slowly sat up, seeing all the Sully's moving around her mauri.
Packing.
"What's going on?" She asked as she wiped her eyes. Neteyam's head perked up at her and he walked over to her and kissed her forehead.
"We're going to the reef, my love." He moved a piece of her hair out of her face and realized she'd taken her braids out.
"Now? We're not supposed to leave for another three months?""That's the thing, my parents don't want you going into labor on the way there, or go into labor as soon as we arrive and your body be very exhausted from the flight." Neteyam walked over to his side of the mauri and grabbed one of his hair bands before walking back over to her.
"I'm not gonna go into labor on the flight there, and if so I can just hold my child the whole way it's not that big of a deal." Raya said as Neteyam pulled her hair back for her.
He looked around the mauri and noticed Neytiri and Jake were watching them. He found it a little odd but didn't say much about it.
"They've been acting weird since the checkup with Mo'at." Raya whispered to Neteyam as she noticed he also saw Jake and Neytiri. "They've been constantly hovering. After Mo'at told me I was gonna be fine, she and Neytiri left the mauri and talked."
