When Raya woke up, everything was silent. She was laying on the floor of someone's mauri.
She sat up on her elbows and started looking around. She then realized where she was.
She was back in the forest in her old tent.
As she looked around the room she saw everything was how she remembered it.Zara's stuff all over the floor in a giant mess and Raya's in a neat corner. Tidy and clean.
She stood up and walked out of the mauri, seeing someone bent down over a fishing pool.
As she stepped closer she recognized the small tattoo on the right shoulder.
She stopped in her tracks as the figure stood up and slowly turned around.
Her father.
"Raya?" He asked, in mere shock of how his daughter could be standing right in front of him.
"Dad?" Her eyes began to welt up with tears and she quickly wiped them away.
They just stood in silence.
Raya then heard giggling, like a little kid laughing.
"Raya?" A familiar voice said from behind her.
Raya turned around and came face to face with the one person she missed more than anything.
Zara.
"Zara!" Raya dropped to her knees and her sister ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug ever.
Kai just stood there, in shock of how his daughter could be here.
"Sissy I missed you so much!" Zara yelled pulling away.
"I missed you even more!" Raya wiped her eyes and smiled.Kai placed a hand on Raya's shoulder and motioned for her to follow him.
"I'll be right back, sweet girl." Raya said before standing up and following her father.
He rubbed his forehead and looked around confused.
"Why are you here?" He asked with panicked breaths. "If you're here, that means your dead. You do know that, right?"
Raya just stood there. "I'm, dead? How is that possible?"
"What's the last thing you remember doing?"
Raya looked at her feet thinking. "I was giving birth." She said once the realization hit her. "To my twins, a boy and a girl."
Kai stood there in shock. "Birth? You were pregnant?"
Raya nodded.
"Who's the father?" Kai asked looking at his daughter.
"Neteyam." Raya said softly, smiling at the fact she has children with the love of her life, except she isn't there."We need to get you back home."
Raya shook her head. "But I'm happy here, I have my father back and my little sister. Why would I leave."Kai grabbed his daughters hands and shook his head. "We're not really here, Raya. You have two kids, a mate. You have a family that needs you. You need to be there, not here."
"But everything in here is perfect. We can all be together again." Raya said placing her hand on her fathers.
He shook his head again. "No, Raya, listen. Out there's the real world, in here's the dream. You think this is 'perfect' but truly it's all a lie."
