APRIL F. SPECIAL

"the fuck do you mean Magni's experiment went wrong?!" You say, worried. You sped out of your room, your phone in your right hand.

"I don't know! He just called, we have to go there, now!" Flayon answers, running alongside you as he pulled on his red jacket over his suit.

"Jesus christ," you mutter. It was a completely normal day. Well not normal, it was April 1st and you did except this to all be a prank from the beginning. But the situation was turning pretty serious. Living with eight men sure was something, you made a mental note to not make this decision in your next life.

"Where are the others?" You say to the pilot, who was pulling open the door. "Altare's just coming, same with Bettel. Shinri and Vesper are already there with the others. Apparently Axel's a dog again, too"

"God, again?" You groan. It was normal to you and the others at this point, whenever the gladiator spotted a potion the alchemist had made, he tasted it; Which always resulted in him turning into a dog.

Flayon pulled out a little tube out of his belt and threw it at the ground, making it turn into smoke. You open your eyes, focusing on the portal infront of you and the pilot. Without hesitation Flayon grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the void, jumping in. Even though you had travelled through the portals many times in the past, it still was a weird feeling.

Soon enough, you stood on flat ground once again. "We'll have to go through," You say, after seeing the forest of wild and most likely dangerous plants opposite you.

"Got it" Flayon called, already racing towards the bushes. You slid down, dodging the flowers and brambles while doing so. You notice the sparkle in Flayon's eyes as you look at him for a second. The training you had with the guild really was worth it, you thought.

"That didn't take you long," Shinri's deep voice chuckled, taking you by surprise. "Of course it didn't, I'm trained by the best" You smirk up at him, before continuing to walk. "Where's Hakka?" You ask him, as he pointed at a small visible figure fighting off some vines.

"There you are" Hakka says, breathing heavily as he blocked off an attack. "Any idea where Magni is?" You ask, aggressively kicking the vines that were twisting around your feet. "Nope" The exorcist replies.

By now, it was getting quite dark. You walked alongside Axel, who was sniffing at the ground with everyone following him. Every now and then, you patted his back and encouraged him to go forward.

Suddenly, Altare spots something a few yards away from the group. "Yo, is that him?"

You squint your eyes, and sure enough there seemed to be someone sitting not far from you.

"There you are!" Magni greeted with a smile. You stare at the alchemist in disbelief. "Oops" Magni says after seeing how everyone looked, covered in scratches and limping. Even the dog sitting by (y/n)'s feet seemed to be giving the male the death glare.

"Let me guess, there wasn't no experiment gone wrong?"

"I can't believe you sometimes Dez,"

"You aren't getting any dinner tonight".

Magni looked at the group, with a cheeky grin. "April fools?" He shrugged.
