It was September now and a few weeks had already passed since Palaye Royale had finished performing for the music festivals this summer. I could already tell their fans were antsy for new music or a new tour, but the boys wanted to take some time for themselves and work on some new songs before they record any. I was one of the selective few who knew they were already planning a new album to be released hopefully within a year, along with a world tour to go with it. They'd be scheduled to return to Los Angeles very soon so the record label would hear about their ideas for a new album and hopefully, they'd get started right away. Hearing about that, I started thinking about something and was actually conflicted about it. Since me and Remington were going to be married, we knew it wouldn't stop us from working on our own careers before starting a family. What I was struggling with is whether I should keep our home here in Querencia where most of our friends and family are, or if I should move into a new home with Remington in L.A. where I'd not only be closer to him while he works on his music, but I'd be able to do my job easier as I continued to grow my new career as a seasoned songwriter for Sumerian Records.

I had asked Remington while watching a movie in the living room what he'd like best after I had a hard time figuring out the best solution. He told me that whatever I chose, it should be for me mostly and he'd support me no matter what. While that brought me some relief, he shared with me his idea to get us our own place in L.A. so we wouldn't have to stay in the house he shares with his brothers whenever we travel to there. While the idea was very tempting, I wasn't sure if he'd be comfortable spending extra money for just one place for us. He reminded me that not only is he a famous rockstar who is getting richer with every radio play of the band's songs, but that he'll never not be comfortable in making the perfect accommodations for him and I. I told him he could do whatever he wanted, but all I wanted at the ended of the day was him next to me wherever we were. He loved that as he kissed me softly and held me in his arms. I told him afterwards that I wanted to come with him to L.A. and actually stay with him so we'd be together and I could work on my songs. He had the biggest grin on his face as he nuzzle his head into my neck, making me giggle at how genuinely excited he was that now that I was done with college, there was nothing holding me back from being with him if I wanted to.

After we finished packing to leave for the airport and meet the rest of his band there, I was excited to be doing so many things now that I actually got to where I wanted to be. For now, however, most people recognized me as Remington Leith's fiancée. While I found it flattering because I was not ashamed of how much I love him, I hoped that eventually, I'd be recognized as one of the most talented female songwriters out there, inspiring others to go for their dreams and never let anyone say they couldn't do so. I kept my hopes close to my heart as we boarded the plane and we sat in first-class. While I have flown in first-class before with these guys, it was still something to get used to since I never thought I'd be able to afford seats like these. I took a seat close to Remington and Emerson while the rest of the band were close by in seats in front of us. I sat in the aisle seat and thought about what we'd do once we landed in L.A. while Rem and Em were talking to each other about their own affairs. I didn't want to interrupt them so I took out one of my books and read until I fell asleep.

It felt like no time had passed when Remington woke me up when we finally landed and then we all gathered our luggage before we got off the plane. Taking a few cabs, the boys wanted to head to their place and leave all their stuff there before going to the Sumerian Records building and begin discussing their next album and possibly, their first world tour. I had no problem staying with Remington as I left my stuff in his bedroom and bathroom. I decided to change out of my clothes to put one something new when Rem got the same idea and got undressed as well. We would have gotten changed in no time had I not caught his eye in his wall mirror while he was shirtless and I was in my underwear. I already knew he loved seeing my figure like this and that I enjoyed when he looks at me like that. I tried to hide my desire for him as I faced away from him and went to my luggage to find something to wear. I barely found the right outfit when I felt his hands on my hips before he slid them around my body to pull me close to his chest.

I struggled to remain composed as he pressed his lips onto my neck and shoulder and even under my ear where I couldn't help but let out soft sighs of pleasure. "Rem...", I begged, "We can't do this right now. We've got to get to the label..." He stopped then only to take my face in his hand and turn my head so I was looking into his eyes as he told me, "I don't know what it is, but after getting engaged to you, I can't seem to resist you or your body anymore. You've become my greatest addiction, ma chérie." His words made me melt in his grasp as I placed a hand on his cheek and kissed him. He kissed me back immediately while also turning my body fully around so he'd wrap his arms around my back and I'd wrapped mine around his neck. I wanted so much to forget about our meeting with Sumerian and just lose myself in his sweet, intoxicating love. It seemed Rem regained his sense of control back when he pulled away first and chuckled to himself before stating, "My brothers will yell at me if I make us late. We'll just have to continue this later, my sweetness." With one last kiss planted on my lips, he let me go to finish getting dressed while I did the same and realized I felt the same toward Remington in terms of how it's become hard for me to stay away from him since he proposed to me.
