Carina's POV

Soon enough, Emerson's birthday and Thanksgiving had passed, and December was finally here. That meant that we were all getting ready to travel to New York soon to see our friend, Delilah, as she auditions with her backup girls at the town's most popular club. I was so excited to see her again and be able to witness her make an iconic debut at this night club she'd perform at with the rest of The Skylettes. As we were packing to leave for tomorrow, I was about finished packing everything I needed for the trip when I heard Remington talking to someone I couldn't hear from downstairs. I walked down there to find him in the kitchen with his brothers as Rem spoke on the telephone. I stood in the doorway as I listened to the conversation he was having with our manager, Wallace. "Are you sure that it's all been arranged?", Remington asked as his brothers stood close by, "So then when will we be able to announce the news to our fans?...In the middle of December? That's perfect, Wallace! We can't thank you enough for everything you do!"

The way it sounded, Rem and the boys must have gotten a call about the world tour they were hoping to do next year along with putting out a new album they had been working on beside the song with ELYSIAN. I smiled at them, happy to know things were moving forward for them. Remington then repeated a question Wallace must've asked and turned to find me standing a few feet away from him, "Can you speak to Carina if she's around?" I raised my brows in surprise and then nodded to let Rem answer Wallace's question, "Yeah, she's right here, actually. Hold on a second." I stepped over as Rem handed the phone to me and I took it before bringing it up to my ear and speaking into it, "Hello, Wallace?" I sat on a nearby stool as Wallace responded with, "Miss Wisteria, so nice to hear you! I hope you've been doing well lately." I smiled, grateful to hear him concerned for my well-being, "Yes, sir, very well. Same to you, hopefully." He chuckled warmly, "Yes, I have as well. Spending time with my wife and kids makes life better when things might get hard. So, how's the songwriting going? Have you thought about trying to perform live like we talked about?"

My smile disappeared as I had known he'd come around asking about that, but I had hoped I would have more time to prepare. I cleared my throat before telling him, "Ahem, well, I'm still adjusting to the idea, Mr. Wallace. I'm just not very confident when it comes to singing my songs in front of people, unlike Remington, sir." Rem smiled standing close to me and held my hand securely, making me me smile back and blush as well. Wallace responded with, "I understand, Miss Wisteria. I don't mean to make you anxious with this idea, my only intention is to help advance your career by having more people recognize you and know who's writing the songs they've come to love performed by other singers." I nodded to myself, knowing that Wallace always wanted the best for his clients and help them succeed more by letting them do what works best for them. I understand that doing this would help me, but I've never been the one to put myself out there like others I knew. I had to try, though, if I wanted to make something of myself to be proud of.

"I know that, Mr. Wallace", I told him when I finally spoke again, "I'm working on it, truly. I'll want to be properly ready when the time comes." Wallace replied with, "Excellent, Miss Wisteria. I had no doubt you'll be incredible once you're ready to put yourself out there. I hope to see you again soon to talk about other things we can work on." Satisfied, I thanked Wallace before saying goodbye and waiting for him to hang up before I did. I let out a long breath I didn't realize I was holding before Sebastian asked, "What was that about, Carina?" I shrugged and explained, "Oh, nothing much. Just Wallace still encouraging me to try to perform my songs live. Those guitar lessons you gave me are helping me as I try to build up the bravery to try to do it." I was desperate to move on from it as I changed the subject, "Anyway, what did he call you guys about?" They all grinned widely when I asked that question, making me curious about what they were told. Remington answered for them as he told me with excitement in his tone, "Wallace had called us to let us know that we're able to announce our next album and tour happening next year!"

I gasped in shock and squealed in excitement for the boys as I hugged Rem and my smile grew bigger to feel Sebastian and Emerson joining in our hug, "Congratulations, you guys! I'm so excited for all of you. Your fans will be overjoyed to know there'll be more of your music coming their way." Seb and Em stepped away from the group hug when Rem pulled away from hugging me so close to look into my eyes as he expressed his anticipation, "I can hardly wait, ma chérie. We won't be able to reveal any dates for a few months, but just announcing the album and tour will be exciting enough and we'll be so happy to have our fans know that we have more in store for them to come very soon." I giggled seeing him so excited and kissed his cheek before congratulating the boys once more before I went back up to Remington's room. As I double-checked my luggage for tomorrow, I felt happiness spark in my heart to know good things would happen soon for me and my friends and hardly anything could ruin it.
