Carina's POV

The day finally came when our friends were ready to travel with us to arrive to Disneyland and just have the best day ever. Rosabella was practically jumping up and down in the car and while we were walking to the front entrance. Nina brought her son, Oliver, with her when she came, and even bought a stroller so she wouldn't have to carry him all day. The only person I didn't find before we came here was Mae, and I was worried she might have had different plans and couldn't come today. I understood if she was unable to join us, but I was really looking forward to seeing her have fun for a change. Then, in the corner of my eye, I noticed one particular car parking closer to our cars and I gasped to see Mae stepping out before spotting me a couple of feet away. I met her about halfway and hugged her tightly before she pulled away to say, "Sorry I'm late! Traffic was a bitch and I haven't woken up so early to beat it." I laughed at her words and placed my hand on her arm before stating, "No worries. Happy to have everyone I care about here with me. It's gonna be a magical day!"

We all spent the next couple of hours walking through the theme park, seeing so many incredible attractions, riding some of the rides, and then eating delicious food in the middle of the day. Sometime when we were taking it easy, I recalled old memories of when I would ask my parents to take me to Disneyland when I was about 7 years old and it first opened. Of course, they never did, but I understood why when I got older. But even then, I didn't have a lot of special memories with my parents who couldn't even take me to the beach. I wasn't sure if I'd ever have moments like that for myself when I got older, but after meeting my family in Querencia, I look forward to creating many special moments that makes us grateful that we have each other to rely on and cherish. As Rem and I sat on a bench and he was eating a pretzel, I watched him and wondered what it'd be like to do something like this with our own children. I smiled to myself as I thought about having a happy family with the man I've come to love and value more than anyone I'd ever met in my life.

I leaned my head on his shoulder and just snuggled up close to him, he stopped eating for a moment before holding me close to him with his arm around me. I felt him kiss the top of my head before he whispered, "You having fun, ma chérie?" I nodded in response to his question and then lightly caressed his thigh before telling him, "My best days are whenever I get to spend time with you and all our friends. After we get married, I hope we don't lose that with them. I know we'll all have our own lives to lead, but this is one family I don't want to lose touch with." I pulled away then to look up at him and find him looking back at me with such love and admiration in his eyes. I blushed at his gaze on me as he lifted his hand up to place it on my cheek and gently caress it before he told me, "I knew from the first time you managed to bring us together as a family, we would be better than one bound by blood. We're bound by heart and yours is the one that guided us to be so loving and supportive of each other." I couldn't help but shed a tear at that one, and I giggled before leaning in to kiss him so softly, he smiled in our kiss before returning the action.

Mae's POV

Man, this park was so big, I was afraid I might get lost in it after it closes. But it wasn't like that, and I was relieved. Sure, some of us got separated throughout the day, but that's only because we couldn't do everything together. We made plans for all of us to meet up together at the Disney Castle just in time for the fireworks show near the end of the day. I felt proud when I managed to find the group all huddled there. I also managed to connect with a few of Carina and Rem's closest friends, such as Delilah and Allegra. Everyone else, of course, were just lovely, especially the kids, Oliver and Rosabella. Meeting all of Carina's friends and loved ones outside of Remington and his brothers was a bit refreshing and gave me the smallest whisper of...home. I didn't have that feeling when I was younger, and I kind of have it with my group who care about me as well as look out for me. To see Carina accept me as one of her friends in this special circle of friends, is a bit overwhelming but I appreciate it nonetheless.

It was finally time for the special fireworks show at the end of the day and as they began to shoot out the fireworks into the sky, my heart burst with every boom and I was in awe of such a spectacle happening right in front of me. I would have continued watching it had I not turned to see Carina's reaction, only to find her sharing kisses with Remington who was holding her close to him. I watched as they pulled away for a moment and just looked into each other's eyes, their expressions speaking words without them saying anything. I then heard Remington say something to his girlfriend, "I promise that with everything I am and all of the love I have for you, I will make every day of our lives feel just as magical, if not more magical, as today was. I love you more than I can ever express, my sweet and beautiful angel." With that, Carina blushed and smiled before stating, "You've already been doing that since you came into my life, my love." With that, they kissed like long-time lovers at the end of a romance film, and while I should be happy, I was terrified to realize... I was jealous. I was jealous of the young woman who accepted me with open arms and I wished to be in her shoes for a small moment. Would she still consider me as her friend if she found out I'd fallen for her boyfriend who I had once hated but now wish to be with instead?
