"Til death do us part."

Purge Veronica is very weak when I married her. It was May 29. She was happy back then but at the back of those eyes, she's sad. Lalo akong nalungkot sa nakita ko sa kanya noon. Hindi ko malaman kung bakit siya nalulungkot.

"Congratulations!"

That was what I heard from our guests and friends after the wedding vows. They all clapped-- Stizza, Dunn, Stef, Pierce, Shaji, Sen, Xendo and even Thorne and Nikki. They we're smiling with all their hearts. His father cried, unaware. Here comes my wife's expression-- worried. Gusto kong sapakin ang mukha ko dahil sa ekspresyon niya. I should've known her happiness.

The night in our own room was filled with moans, with our names. It was heaven all along. Muntikan ko pang nakalimutang may sakit siya at hindi ako tumigil. But her sad eyes awhile back became bright and... happy. That was my motivation to continue moving. I love her and she loves me...

Seven months has come and my wife gave birth to a healthy human-vampire boy. Yes, he is healthy. Her pregnancy was so delicate and really tough. It sometimes pushed me to gave up on it. I asked for his help because he undergone these hardships before. He introduced me to sorcery. That was a big help to me and to Purge, to preserve Purge's life.

But there are things that could make me believe in miracles. She gave birth again but that time, to a healthy human-vampire girl. She's Iris Yohann Covey. And that almost made my heart burst and alive. There are miracles but why was she scared?

"Kapag ako mamatay, mag-asawa ka ulit para may mag-alaga sa anak natin."

"Purge!"

"Joke lang! Mumultuhin kita kung ganon!"

The night was peaceful than ever. The room was in serenity like no one's inside.

No one's inside? Purge is inside! No, no she's not gone. No, she's not yet asleep. No! I hugged her cold body. Fvck this. Fvck! Why is she cold?! Her heart is still beating!

Please beat for me and for the babies, Purge! Beat for me, baby! Nataranta ako noon. Nataranta ako ngunit may plano naman na ko noon. May plano na ako sakaling may mangyayaring masama tulad nito.

"Purge!"

"I think I'm going to die."

"No, you're not. No one's dying."

"Ano ka ba, mamamatay talaga ako. Let's accept the fact that..."

She cried that night. She cried even hardly breathing. Her hands turned purple, her eyes turned yellow.

"I have a surprise," I said, almost crying. Fvck the tears!

Five years was good. Pierce finally got a girlfriend. Xendo married Stizza. Shaji married Sen.

We were happily living here in Kyoto, Japan. Five years had passed. Maraming nangyari, sobra. Nagkatuwaan, nagkaasaran at nagkaroon ng selosan. But I think all of those factors were normal. "Basta mamaya, Purge," I whispered and ran my fingers to the sides of her neck.

"Nakikita tayo ng mga bata, Johan. Ang landi landi mo na. Nagkaroon lang ako ng second life," she irritatingly mumbled.

"I love you, hon."

"Lumayo ka nga!"

"Mainit ba? May tension ano? May sparks pa rin ba, hon?"

"Anong mainit?! Mainit ang ulo sabihin mo!"

"Ito naman. Kiss mo na ako."

"Kapag ba hinalikan kita titigil ka na?"

I frowned.

"Kainis ka. Oo, sige na nga. Maghintay ka diyan. Magsawa ka sa akin hanggang umaga. Mas maganda na na ako ang paglandian mo kaysa sa ibang babae. Oh, anong nginingiti ngiti mo diyan? Naisahan mo ako? Magtigil ka at kung ako ang magsawa naku susuka ka ng dugo at iiyak ka ng dugo. Sabi ni Shaji five years ago, you can't live without me."

Moody but still my loving wife. That was her after that night of almost-grieving-because-she-is-dead. I thought I'm going to forbid my heart from other woman. I thought life's gonna be broken. I thought I'll be pounded to death. I thought she'll die. Akala ko lang pala lahat ng mga iyon... because she'll never leave me. She's not gone and never be gone.

We both cacchinated before we kissed and we ended up in bed, making love over and over again til dawn and on, forever.

"Mommy! Daddy!"
