The next morning, Jade woke up earlier than most of the other Slytherins. Eager to start her day, she made her way up to the Great Hall for breakfast before everyone else. As she entered the hall, she noticed Hermione, Ron, and Harry engaged in a heated argument. Curiosity piqued, and Jade approached them with a friendly smile.

Jade chuckled, "So what are you guys arguing about today?"

Ron, with a growl, replied, "None of your business!"

Hermione quickly interjected, "Ron!" and smacked him.

Ron defended himself, saying, "What? I'm right, she's a Slytherin for crying out loud."

"We're trying to figure out why Snape was limping the other day." Replied Harry, who had no issues with Jade. He didn't like Draco.

After explaining what he and Ron saw before coming to rescue Hermione that night, Ron sighed and gave in to being sociable with her at the very least.

"I think he tried to get past that three-headed dog on Halloween! That's where he was going when we saw him. He's after whatever it's guarding! And I'd bet my broomstick he let that troll in, to create a diversion!" Ron told them.

Hermione and Jade's eyes widened in disbelief. They exchanged a worried glance, their concern evident.

"No, he wouldn't," Hermione said, her voice filled with conviction.

"I know he's not very nice to any of you, but he wouldn't try and steal something the school was trying to keep safe," Jade reassured them.

Her voice was tinged with memories of the previous night when Snape gave her a sleep potion.

"Honestly, you two think all teachers are saints or something," snapped Ron accusingly.

"I wouldn't put anything past Snape. But what's he after? What's that dog guarding?" Said Harry in agreement.

~That Afternoon~

Jade reluctantly made her way to the Quidditch pitch, mainly due to Draco's incessant pestering. As she looked around, she realized that the entire school seemed to have gathered in the stands, eagerly awaiting the game to begin. It was a sight to behold, with students from all houses cheering and chatting among themselves. However, Jade quickly understood that Draco's attention would solely focus on the game itself. Not wanting to be ignored for the duration of the match, she decided to seek out someone to talk to.

She walked over to a group of Gryffindors, hoping to find Hermione among them. Jade knew that Hermione was always a reliable and engaging conversationalist. After a short search, Jade spotted Hermione amidst the sea of red and gold. She approached her with a smile, relieved to have found a friendly face. Jade knew she would much rather engage in a conversation with Hermione than be ignored by Draco, who was now fully engrossed in the upcoming Quidditch match.

Jade, a keen observer, couldn't help but notice that many students in the auditorium were equipped with binoculars. It was evident that the raised seating arrangement didn't necessarily guarantee a clear view of the Quidditch game. She scanned the room, her eyes searching for familiar faces. After a few moments, she finally spotted Ron and Hermione sitting with Neville, Seamus, and Dean in the top row. As she made her way towards them, her footsteps echoed quietly in the stands.

As she drew closer, Jade's gaze settled on Ron and Hermione, and she asked,"Would it be alright if I sat with you?"

Ron, in a rather unwelcoming tone, suggested to Jade, "Why don't you sit by Draco?"
