Thursday went more or less as both Greg and Susan expected with the most interesting thing that happened during the day being that Jessie beat Susan at checkers.
"Are we going to the house again tomorrow, Greg?" Zackary asked that eveing after dinner.
"First thing, same as last week," Greg told him. "Matthew, you are welcome to join us this week if you have the time."
"Yeah, I do. I'm doing the dinner shift tomorrow, so as long as I can get to work by five, I should be okay," Matt said.
"We'll be certain to return before then," Greg said.

With Greg and both boys planning to go to the new house, everyone aside from Jessie was up early the next morning. Susan packed them lunch and saw them off, then Greg and both boys left in their SUV, promising to be home by four.
"Is it really going to take us all day to look at your house?" Matthew asked as they drove up into the hills.
"It is," Zackary told him. "Just wait until you see it, Matt. It's not just the house but all the stuff around it. There's tons of stuff there to check out."
"What do you think we should show him first?" Greg asked Zackary. "The garage or the house?"
"Hum, I don't know. If we go straight to the house, it sort of gives a lot of it away," Zackary said.
"What would it give away?" Matt questioned.
"Well you see ... when they started to dig in the top valley of the lot we bought ... you know, the one we saw just after Thanksgiving?" Zackary said.
"The one with the pond and the tunnel," Matt said. "I know the one."
"Well, it turned out the tunnel used to go to something, and we found it when they dug out part of the hill," Zackary hedged.
"What did it go to?" Matt asked curiously. "A mine?"
"No, but that's a good guess, Matt," Greg said.
"It led to a cave!" Zackary said excitedly.
"What kind of cave?" Matt asked.
"A space within the rock at the core of the hill, which is made up of volcanic material," Greg told him. "The space was made by trapped gasses, forming a natural, lava-based cave."
"How big?" Matt asked curiously. "Is it like just a crawl space or something? Or can you stand up in it?"
"It's huge," Zackary said. "Just wait until you see it!" Zackary exclaimed as Greg turned from the street onto the drive to the new house. "Let's go the house first Greg, then to the garage."
"Okay. I'll park in front of the garage, then we'll hike around," Greg said.
Matt looked curiously around at the grading that had been done, then looked at his brother in surprise when he spotted the garage doors embedded in the side of the hill.
"Your garage is under ground?" Matt asked.
"Are you sure you want to hike around, Zack?" Greg asked with some amuzement. "We could go in this way."
