"I supposed it is." I said cautiously, feeling Ominis tense up beside me. I shot Sebastian's glance and his face had suddenly changed to one of annoyance.
"I was wondering if you had anyone you were going with, and if not, would you allow me to accompany you?" Garreth asked as he reached for my hand and took it in his. The chatter around the table immediately picked up, before being shushed. I glanced around for help, because I was at a loss for words.
"Actually she already has a date" Sebastian said and everyone's attention turned to him. I even heard one girl gasp.
"Oh? Who are you going with?" Garreth asked me and glanced at Sebastian, obviously suspecting him.
"Me" both Ominis and Sebastian said, before Ominis cleared his throat and put a hand on my shoulder.
"Uh I think they mean-" I started to say before being cut off.
"She's going with both of us, as a group" Ominis clarified quickly, seeing as neither of them had apparently decided before this conversation on who I would go with.
"Both of you?" Another boy in our house asked as he took another bite of his food, clearly captivated by this turn of events.
"Is that a problem?" Sebastian asked as he put a hand near his wand, obviously feeling protective.
"No, it isn't. If you change your mind please let me know. Im sure going with friends would be nice but an actual date-" Garreth tried to say but was cut off by Evverett coming up and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Let it be mate. They want to go together. Don't be upset just because you can't find even one date to go with." He said and laughed, before hauling Garreth up and pulling him away. He looked back and shot me a wink, and I gave him a smile in return. I turned back to the boys and Sebastian still didn't look happy.
"I can't believe he would ask infront of everyone" Sebastian muttered and started to pick at his food with his fork.
"At least he asked, considering neither of you did" I shrugged and took a drink. I watched them both try to say an excuse or anything to apologize, but I left them hanging there with their mouths open.

"You do know we would've asked right?" Sebastian said as he followed quickly behind me as I walked towards our common room. "We just hadn't discussed it, not even between the two of us."
"He is right, you hadn't mentioned it either" Ominis added as he caught up to me and walked next to me. "And I suppose us all going as friends does look better than you going with just one of us."
"Yes I know you're right, but I'm still upset I didn't get a formal invite." I hummed and walked up to the common room door, before speaking the password. The giant stone snake rose up and reveal the door, before I opened it and walked through.
"We are literally together" Sebastian said as he caught my hand and made me look at him, "of course we were all going, I didn't know I needed to even ask you."
"I was actually considering asking you." Ominis said as he pulled his robe over and carried it instead. "I just haven't had the chance to."
"Well I guess I'll never get invited to the ball formally from either of you." I sighed, before laughing and walking into the common room. "At least this way Garreth won't bug me anymore, which I suppose is a good thing."
       "A great thing in my eyes." Sebastian huffed and turned towards the staircase that led to the boys rooms. I looked back at him and gave him a smile. His eyes lit up as he looked at me, and if anyone had been paying attention they would notice how in love he looked.
      "Goodnight to you two" I said and waved. I seen Ominis smile down at the ground, before walking upstairs with Sebastian.
