Chapter 12

Your pov

I had been searching the castle for hours but hadn't found Arthur anywhere. I had skipped my classes, he wasn't in them so what was the point of going anyway. I needed to find him and confess how I felt. If I didn't I felt like I would perish from the overwhelming love I felt. He had to know and I desperately needed to find him. I had searched the castle but hadn't seen him at all anywhere. I kept searching until I was walking through the corridor that led to the undercroft. I paused, wondering where Sebastian and Ominis were. They would be able to help me find Arthur, but I just realized I would have to find them first. That would distract me for too long from my actual goal so I decided to ignore that plan. I started on my way down the hall and my head started to pound again. I don't know why but I've had massive headaches since last night. They seemed to be random but I really wished the headaches would disappear.
"(Y/n)" I heard someone call behind me, I turned around and seen Ominis. I quickly run up to him and grab his hand. He looks startled and I take a step back.
"There you are" he says and grabs my hand again and pulls me off to the side, his wand sweeping back and forth as he walked us somewhere.
"Where are we going?" I asked him as I looked around and noticed he was dragging me off to the infirmary. "Ominis I can't go with you anywhere I'm trying to find Arthur." I whined and tried to break away but his grasp tightened on me and he kept pulling me forward.
"Don't worry, Sebastian is already doing that part." He said and kept walking. I perked up and looked around.
"Are you going to meet with them? I have something I need to tell Arthur" I let out a small giggle and Ominis tenses up, but keeps pulling me ahead. He doesn't speak any more and ignores me rambling about Arthur and how great he is. I guess he must've been upset that no one was this in love with him, but as my friend I wished he would support me through this. Soon he pulled me into the infirmary and I noticed the nurse was rushing around. She glanced over and nodded at us, before continuing to prepare for something. "Did someone get hurt? Did Arthur get hurt? Is that why we are meeting them here?"
"He might be" Ominis said as he pulled me to a bed and made me sit down. He crouched infront of me but still didn't let go of my hand.
"Ominis you can't do this, what if Arthur comes in and sees this, he's hurt already and I don't want to give him the wrong idea" I push his hand off of mine and I see his face flash with hurt across it.
"You are that worried about him seeing me?" He asked and placed his hands on either side of my legs.
"Of course I am, I'm in love with him Ominis" I whisper to him, a smile groaning in my face as I picture Arthur, "he's amazing, truly amazing. He's so smart and honestly like a hero to me."
"A hero?" He snaps, his hands griping the sheets on the bed. I glance down and notice his knuckles turning whiter than I would've imagined.
"Of course, he is so brave. Everyone misjudges him" I rub my head and try to ease the headache I'm getting, it seemed like just having Ominis near me was causing my head to hurt more.
"You think that makes him a hero?" Ominis says and leans up, our faces almost touching. "Darling, that doesn't make him a hero. Besides, a hero would sacrifice you for the greater good. They'd throw you away for the world. But I have no such beliefs." His hand grabbed mine again, "nothing in this world is more important than you. And I don't intend to let you be swept away by a make believe hero."
"Ominis-"
"He's going to need attention too" I look up and see Professor Sharp walking in with Arthur, who looked like he'd been hurt badly. I tried to jump up and go to him but Ominis grabbed me and held me to the bed. I seen Sebastian walk in after and he searched the room with his gaze, before spotting me and walking over. He sat down on the bed and grabbed me as well since Ominis was now struggling to hold me back.
"Let me go!" I screamed and thrashed against them, but wasn't able to break free from both of them holding me. "I need to get to him!" I screamed and tried to lunge off the bed. Sebastian grabbed my shoulders and pushed me down onto the bed.
"Ominis get her legs and hold her down" Professor Sharp said as he quickly threw Arthur on the bed and walked over to us. Ominis grabbed my legs and held them down. I still thrashed around and tried to break free but I was completely subdued. Prof. Sharp looked me over, before placing the back side of his palm over my forehead. He left it there for a second and I noticed it felt like ice. He cursed and pulled his hand away before motioning the nurse over. They spoke in hushed voices for a second, before the nurse rushed off.
"Are you going to be able to fix this?" Sebastian asked as he lead to lean over me and hold me in place. Prof. Sharp turned to the nurse as she rushed back over and handed him something.
"I'm going to have a word with Prof. Weasley about her nephew after this. This ungodly concoction should've been thrown away the second he made it." He cursed and started to mix things into a bowl, but my mind was drifting back towards looking around the area. I needed to find Arthur right now, where was he?
"But can you fix it" Oninis snapped. I tried to kick at him but he shoved my legs back down.
"Of course I can. That boy is an idiot and mixed in the wrong ingredients. This isn't just a love potion anymore. It's like a sickness." Prof. Sharp said as he finished up with whatever he was working on.
"A sickness?" Sebastian asked quickly, worry shooting through his voice. "Is she going to be okay?"
"Of course she is how many times do I need to tell you this." Sharp said, before looking down at me and sighing. "Can one of you open her mouth and help me force her to drink this?"
"What are you putting in my mouth?" I scream and try once again to break free.
"Sebastian switch me places" Oninis said, and for a brief moment I seen my chance. When they let go I tried to jump out of the bed but was caught by Sebastian, who then slammed me back down on the bed. Ominis grabbed my shoulder with one hand and shoved the other to my chin, before yanking it open. I tried to bite at him, anything to get free and go see Arthur. Ominis leaned down and started whispering to me in a comforting tone, but his words were all in parsletongue. My attention flicked to him, something flickering in my mind that told me I enjoyed hearing him speak like this.
"Good" sharp said and put the bowl to my mouth and tipped it to where the liquid went down my throat. Ominis kept speaking to me, and it was calming. I choked on the liquid before sharp grabbed my mouth and closed it, forcing me to swallow whatever potion he had gave me. I gagged again before eventually swallowing it. Sharp sighed and stepped back, watching to see how I reacted. Ominis leaned down, one of his hands lightly petting my hair as he kept talking, and I felt myself finally relax. Sebastian let go of my legs and fell down next to the bed, his head resting against my legs. He looked up at me and our eyes met, and he tried to give me a smile.
"It's alright pet, you should feel better soon" Ominis said, finally speaking in English again. I felt my eyes get heavy and I tried to force them open so I could stay awake, ask what was happening, but soon my body forced me to black out.

Sebastian's pov

Once (y/n) had fallen asleep Ominis sat down on the bed and let her rest against his body, and arm protectively holding her to him. I looked at Sharp, who glanced at us but didn't ask any questions. Once his eyes locked with mine he motioned to the other guy, who was now being treated by the nurse.
"I should ask you what you did to your fellow student. He was screaming when I found you two." Sharp said and I glanced over at the student, Arthur. I thought back to how upset I was, anger circling through me as I hunted him down. I found him out in the garden, anxiously looking around, like he was waiting for someone to find him. It pushed me over the edge when he had asked where (y/n) was, and I had dragged him outside of the castle grounds. I had planned to ask him if he had gave her the potion, like I suspected, but he confessed as I dragged him out. His excuses made my blood boil. She was his type, wouldn't give him any sign she liked him back, he thought she needed a push, it didn't make sense she'd never dated anyone and he wanted to be her first boyfriend. He swore he'd let the potion wear off. All of his excuses only pushed me over the edge until we'd made it outside the castle, and I had done something. I casted an unforgivable curse on him. I had learned them, this powerful magic that was deemed dangerous. But what he had done was dangerous and had been made so easily, and wouldn't even get him in trouble for more than a few days of detention. Why couldn't I do something unforgivable in return?
I casted crucio on him. They said you had to truly mean it to cast it, and I had meant it completely. I didn't even care as he laid there screaming, he deserved it. He'd taken away her free will, and god knows what he would've done had we not stopped them from meeting today.
"Sebastian" sharp said and got my attention. I looked up at him and he gave me a look. He knew what I had done. He had walked in after Arthur had started to start screaming. He didn't see me cast the curse however, so I assumed he just suspected it from his time as an auror. "Listen to me." He grabbed my shoulder as he walked to this side of the bed and he yanked me up. "I'm not going to tell the headmaster about this, simply because what that student did is unforgivable." The way he emphasized unforgivable, I knew for sure he had figured out what I'd done.
"Don't do anything like this again. I mean that. Otherwise I will be getting the ministry involved." He said as his grip tightened on my shoulder. I glanced at (y/n), peacefully asleep against Ominis. Ominis was still holding her close, and I could tell by how he was turned towards us he was hearing everything.
"I promise I won't." I said as I looked back at (y/n) again. I wouldn't let anyone hurt her, that was a promise I would keep. But I also needed to be careful so I wouldn't be separated from her.
"Good. And don't worry, I'm going to be handling this situation. Slipping another student a mutated love potion like this is going to have that student expelled as soon as he is recovered." Sharp said as he glanced at Arthur. "And Garreth is going to explain to me exactly what he thought would happen from making such a disgusting potion." Sharp let go of my shirt and patted it, before backing away and walking over to the nurse to discuss something. I looked at Ominis, and seen he was shaking his head.
"You know how I feel about that curse" he said, but then (y/n) shifted and held onto him in her sleep. "Don't do it again Sebastian."
"It seemed a fitting moment. Considering he almost caused her to be sick from this." I said as I leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. Damn whoever saw, I wanted to give her comfort as she slept, since I couldn't have stopped this all together. I looked over at the nurse and Sharp, who were treating and talking to Arthur. I walked over to them and waited for them to notice me. The nurse turned to me and gave me a disappointed look.
"I hope you'll understand that we will not be leaving her alone in here tonight while she recovers." I shot a glance at Arthur and he jumped in his bed, but no one afford him comfort.
"I'll allow it this time" the nurse said and looked down at Arthur, before tsking. "Wont be leaving him alone with her."
