Chapter 6

Your pov
     "Students please remember that putting the correct ingredients into the potion is extremely important" Mr. sharp said as he walked around the room, eyeing Garreth who stood next to me. Garreth waited til the professor's back was turned, before holding up a random bottle and tipping it into his pot. He shot me a wink, before continuing with his potion. Prof. sharp went back to his desk and reclined, "Amortentia is a powerful potion, and it's dangerous if used improperly. I'm only showing you how to make it because it's mandatory. However once you're done, if you breath some in you'll smell whatever scent is connected to who you love."
       "That means (y/n), don't be surprised when all you can smell is my cologne" Garreth said as he stepped towards me and peered into my pot.

Sebastian pov

     "He has to be kidding himself" I said to Ominis as we finished up our potions, before meeting them sit. I looked over and seen (y/n) laughing at whatever else Garreth had said to her. "What could be so funny anyway? He's about as charming as a puffskin"
     "Well, she does think puffskins are rather cute" Ominis said as he started to clean up his area.
     "You are not helping" I groaned, still watching them work together and chat. I watched as Garreth leaned in and whispered something to her, and I had to look away before I decided to do something stupid.
     "The potions ready, if you're willing to ignore them for a moment" Ominis said and motioned to his pot.

Your pov
     "You can't be serious" I whispered to Garreth, after he told me what he was hoping to accomplish with his secret ingredient. "A lust potion? Are you serious?"
      "Everything I've read said that this root was good for causing extra hormonal reactions. If I mix that with a love potion, then I think that would be that out come" he explained his reasoning, but I didn't trust it considering his past record for haywire potions.
      "Students, please take a wiff of your potions and describe to your partner what you smell" prof. Sharp said as he stood up and came to walk around again. He checked each potion, making sure they were all correct. I nudged Garreth, "good luck with him not noticing that. It reeks of sandalwood and rain."
     "What? No it smells like daisys" Garreth said as he gave me a weird look, "here try again" he said as he motioned to it. I leaned in again and frowned.
"Well now it smells like chocolate, what did you do?" I sighed and went back to my pot. I glanced over At Sebastian and Ominis and noticed a couple of girls giggling as the boys talked about something. Prof. Sharp came over and inspected mine, not saying a word as he walked away. I assumed that meant mine was alright. I glanced at Garreth and noticed he had taken out a bottle and quickly filled it, before putting it away. Prof.Sharp looked into his and gave a disappointed sigh.
"Wrong, I don't know what you did, but it's wrong. The coloring is off. It's supposed to be a silky white and instead you've made it into a pink shade" he said as he shook his head, "be careful when dumping this, merlin knows what you did wrong."
I cleaned up my station and gave Garreth a look.
"Listen, the yule ball is coming up soon. I have a feeling this could earn me a few gallons if I give it to the right student." He said as he patted his pocket, "what about you? Got anyone you want to seduce? Reminder that you do not need to procure such an item to get my attention."
"I'm good Garreth, most likely I'll be going alone anyway" I laughed, before walking towards the boys.
"-so what did you smell Sebastian?" A girl asked him as I walked up behind him. I raised an eyebrow at him, a mischievous smirk on my face. "Yeah Sebastian, what was it?"
"Lavender and honey" both Sebastian and Ominis said at the same time, causing the girls to quickly started murmuring between themselves. I even seen one or two of them sniffing their robes, which I found humorous.
"I can't smell anything after Garreth concocted whatever he made. The scent kept changing" I grimaced and rubbed my nose, trying to get the scents to disapate.
"What exactly did he make?" One girl asked me, her eyes shooting over to Garreth. I noticed her glance back At Sebastian, which made me feel sick.
"Ah, well I think he made a repulsion potion" I said, almost stumbling over the words, "smells nice, but definitely had something wrong with it. Was pink as well, can't imagine it would do anything related."
"Class dismissed, now please someone tell Prof. Weasley to come see me about a certain mess" prof. Sharp announced. Me and the boys grabbed our things and left quickly, not wanting g to be pestered anymore.
"What we're you and Garreth up to over there?" Sebastian asked as we walked down the hall and made our way to the common room.
"He had some grand idea, a lust potion" i whispered to them, "I'm hoping he doesn't manage to sell it off to one of those fan girls of yours"
"Only one girl in my eyes" Sebastian said, before nudging Ominis. "How did none of them notice we said the same scent? I would've thought we would've gotten some questions."
"Well that's probably because none of them know what (y/n)'s perfume smells like" Ominis added as he moved his wand back and forth so he could guide himself. "I imagine if they had there would have been a few choice words said."
"You two are insufferable" I groaned as I realized they had both just openly admitted to fancying me in-front of our class.
"Oh, by the way, (s/y) told me that you need to meet them outside of Hogwarts gates tonight, for that mission you asked to go on." Sebastian informed me, causing me to groan out loud.
"Why didn't you mention it until now?" I asked as I forced him to carry my books. "You take those back to my dorm, I better hurry off and go meet them." I told him, before starting on me way to the front gates.
"She does realize I can't take these to her room right?"

      That was probably the last normal thing to happen that afternoon, because the mission (s/y) took me on, ended up being more than we could handle.
      "Up ahead is the camp site, all we need to do is sneak in and release the animals" they said to me as we crouched. I cast the disillusionment charm on myself, and looked over at them as they did the same. "You go to that side and use allhomora to unlock the cage."
     I gave them a quick nod, before starting my slow walk over. I snuck by several of the poachers, and over heard their conversations. Several just mentioned wanting money, or wanting to be done with the job. I rolled my eyes at their selfish goals, and snuck up to the cage.
     "See It had been going fine. Just an easy mission to find some poachers who had taken some poor animals. I was genuinely excited to go and help, until we were swamped with poachers, and (s/y) and I got separated with foes of our own. I was handling it well, until one snuck up behind me and managed to hit me with confringo. We managed to get out of the area soon after, but realized we had lost or taken all of the wiggenweld potions." I explained to Ominis, who had been the first one to know I was hurt, and was now sitting with me. He was acting as my hand to hold while the nurse applied everything, and I know that wasn't an easy job considering how bad some of her medications felt.
      "How in the world did you get accidentally shot by your friend with this kind of spell?" The nurse tsked as she finally placed and bandage on my side.
      "Just some spell practice, no harm done" I said with a grimace. Thankfully she hadn't heard me tell the truth to Ominis.
      "We'll just be more careful. That hit a touchy spot so you need to be gentle for the next day or so" she huffed, before walking over to a student who had sprained their foot while landing wrong on their broom.
     "I knew you going with them was a bad idea" Ominis sighed as he squeezed the hand he still held. "It could've been a lot worse" he said as he pressed my hand to his chest, worry written all over his face. I reached up and pushed hair out of his face, before gently cupping it. I looked him over, his hair really was messy now, presumably from racing his way over here. But other than that he still looked as put together as always.
     "It'll be alright, I just hope-"
       "Y/n!" Sebastian yelled as he burst into the infirmary. He pushed the door aside and scanned the room, before racing over to us. "What happened? I heard from Garreth-"
      "Mr. Sallow!" The nurse yelled in annoyance, before moving towards him. "Donjot distrub my patients or I'll remove you from this room!" She chastised him, before going back to tending to the other patient. Sebastian looked sheepish for a second, before turning back to me.
     "What happened? Garreth told me you were limping in with (s/y) and were rushed up here" Sebastian said as he knelt next to the bed.
     "That would be because your little friend, Sebastian," Ominis said pointedly, a dark look being shot in his direction, "got them into too much trouble. For Merlin's sake who goes on a mission like that without potions?"
     "Im sure that they didn't mean for this to happen" Sebastian said in defeat as he scanned my body. His eyes locked onto my patched up side and he winced.
     "Im sure" Ominis huffed, before squeezing my hand again, "promise me you won't go with them again."
      "I promise" Sebastian said, reaching out to lightly touch the bandage. I stifled a cry and shifted away from his hand. He pulled it back and looked up at me.
       "Does it hurt that bad?" He asked me, concern dripping from his voice. "What spell was it?"
     "The fire charm" I replied, forgetting the spells name momentarily. I sat up more in the bed and couldn't hold back the cry of pain that escaped me. Sebastian quickly moved to help me sit up, and even went as far as to lift me.
      "Alright that's enough from you two. Let her rest here for the night, and she should be able to get back to her classes first thing in the morning" the nurse said as she walked up, drying off her hands on her robes.
      "Can we not stay?" Sebastian asked quickly, looking back at me. I gave him a sad smile, noticing how beautiful he looked when he was concerned for me.
     "If you must, please only let it be one of you" the nurse huffed, "and no longer than another hour or so. She will need to rest and so do I. I can't be leaving boys and girls alone in here."
      "Isn't your other patient a boy?" Ominis asked as he slowly let go of my hand and placed it by my side.
     "That doesn't count! Non-patient boys and patient girls are not allowed to sit here alone together!" The nurse said as she crossed her arms. "And thanks to that I've changed my mind. Both of you, out!"
