Your pov

"Merlin Sebastian, you have to read this letter my mother has sent me." I laugh and walk towards Sebastian who stood by the fire place, enjoying some of his last moments in the cattle before the year was up. "She's went off and found that old boyfriend she mentioned. She's planning to travel with him for a while and is leaving my family home to me." I say and hand him the letter. He reads over it and laughs before handing it back.
"Who knew us visiting would have that kind of affect on her. And now you have a whole house to yourself." He said with a sad smile, and I knew it was because he had started to get more and more upset as we neared the end of our Time at Hogwarts. Not only did Anne not finish with us, he hadn't found a cure and he wasn't allowed back at his own home. I gently grabbed his hand in mine and looked up at him.
"What if I didn't have the house to myself?" I asked him quietly, hoping he would understand what I was asking of him. He looked down at me and I noticed some of the sadness slip away as he squeezed my hand.
"If you are asking me to move in with you then of course, darling." He said and glanced up as the common room door opened. I turned and seen Ominis walk in. "Ominis! Over here" Sebastian yelled, but even though Ominis turned towards us for a moment, he proceeded to walk up the steps and leave us standing there. "That's weird, I'll go see what's got his nickers in a twist today"
"Hurry back, I want to talk to him about it as well." I said as I laughed and sat down on the couch. I glanced up at the common room and smiled, I would miss it here. The whole place felt like my home. I had found myself and the men I loved here. It would be weird to move on past this. I sat there thinking back longingly on past memories, probably longer than I should have. I only broke out of my dazz when I realized it had been a while since Sebastian followed after Ominis. I huffed and decided to go up there myself since neither could be bothered to come down and explain to me what was happening. I made my way up the stairs and towards their shared room. The door was ajar and I started to push it open.
"-Sebastian don't you start. We both knew I'd never be able to marry (y/n), it makes sense that I'm marrying someone else." I heard Ominis say, which stopped me in my tracks.
"I've never known you to be one to obey your family so willingly. What, they offer you a bride and you drop everything?" Sebastian yelled back at him, clearly upset by whatever they were talking about. I was getting upset for the few parts I had heard.
"It's about pedigree. She doesn't have the right one" Ominis said and I heard him packing up his things. I realized he was planning to leave early at the request of his parents. I stepped into the room and stared at him. He froze as he seemed to realize I had entered the room, before letting out a sigh and continuing his packing.
"I don't have the right pedigree?" I asked him, clearly upset and Sebastian cursed as he walked to the other side of Ominis and tried to make him stop packing. "I'm a pure blood the same as your family, how do I not have the right pedigree for you?"
"There are some wizarding families that are better than others (y/n)" Ominis said and stood up and slammed his bag closed. "My family is too good for yours, and I have to Marry someone of equal standing. What's the problem anyway why don't you just marry Sebastian?" Ominis gestured towards Sebastian and grabbed his bag.
"Why are you acting like we are worthless?" Sebastian asked as he stepped closer to me and got In between me and Ominis. "You hate your family, what has gotten into you?"
"I've had a talk with them and realized they were right about this. We can't both marry her and why should it be me? You're from her station" Ominis said and tried to get passed us but Sebastian grabbed his arm.
"Her station?" Sebastian was clearly getting annoyed for my sake and he started to shake from it. I put a hand on his shoulder and stepped forward, tears about to form in my eyes.
"Ominis, why are you treating me like I'm lesser than you? I thought that didn't matter to you?" I asked and held back a sob. Sebastian looked down at me and wrapped his arm around me and held me close to him. Ominis sighed and yanked his arm free of Sebastian.
"Because (y/n), we aren't from the same families. Mine... well mine wants to protect the blood line." Ominis pulled free and started to walk down the hallway. Sebastian pulled me in close and glared down the hallway as Ominis left us standing there alone.
"Don't worry darling, I'm not going anywhere" Sebastian whispered comforting words to me as he kissed my forehead and tried to hold me tight enough I'd forget about it all.
