Chapter 20

Sebastian's pov

I sat alone in the courtyard, trying to focus on my studies but it was hard to do with all of the stressful thing's happening around me. I had killed my uncle. Sage had tried to talk me down from taking the relic, but they hadn't convinced me. I thought it would help me with curing Anne, but instead it had led to her screaming at me and telling me she never wanted to see me again.
I was more upset about that than killing my uncle. He had been holding me back from trying to cure Anne and had banned me from speaking to her again. Not to mention when he took the relic for himself. It also didn't help me currently that both sage and Ominis had deemed to not speak with me after everything. The only good thing had been they had decided to not turn me over and send me to askaban.
I also had the concern that (y/n) was upset at me. I felt too ashamed to tell her any of what had happened. Admitting that the plan had gone wrong, and that I had killed someone using dark magic wouldn't be wise. I assumed Ominis had already filled her in and she had decided to never speak to me again as well.
"Hello Sebastian" I looked up and seen Ominis standing infront of me, his wand out as he guided himself to sit down next to me. "I feel like we should talk."
"Should we?" I asked him and looked over, "I figured you'd never talk to me again."
"I thought about it" Ominis sighed and twisted his wand in his hands, "but you've been my best friend for years Sebastian. I hope theres still a way to reconcile that."
"I won't apologize for what I did" I responded, leaning back against the wall. "My uncle-"
"You shouldn't have done that Sebastian. He may have turned against you but you used an unforgivable curse. That has a toll on you. You did it so freely, it reminded me of my parents." Ominis said as he started to get upset at me again.
"Ominis, I hadn't-" I stopped and sighed, before looking down at my books. "I don't want to be like them. I'll stop messing with the dark arts, if it means I don't lose my best friend. I've already lost Anne, my uncle, and (y/n). I can't lose you"
"Wait," Ominis shot his head up and turned his head to me, "have you not spoken to her either? I assumed you had based on her avoiding me. I thought she was-"
"On your side. So did i" i finished his sentence for him and cursed. "Have neither of us talked to her for weeks? She must be so upset, and confused."
"We are idiots" Ominis said and stood up quickly. "We need to find her and go explain, and hope she isn't too upset."
"We should. I just hope she doesn't hate me after everything." I said and got up as well. "Do you have any clue where she is?"
"I might be of some help" Garreth said as he walked up to us. I turned to him and he held up his hands. "I would first like to say that I did not have a part in what I'm about to tell you."
"Get on with it Garreth, where is she at?" Ominis asked as he pulled out his wand and pointed it infront of him. Not threatening Garreth but it could be seen as such. "Is she alright?"
"Well, she is down at Hogsmede with Damian" Garreth answered and both me and Ominis seemed confused, wondering if we were supposed to know what that meant. "Merlin I forgot how dense you both were. She's on a date."
"A date?" I yell and look around, before quieting myself down, "she's on a date with Damian?"
"Who is Damian?" Ominis asked
"He graduated last year, was a big duelist before Sebastian and (y/n) ended up taking over the title." Garreth answered and looked at me, "tall, dark, handsome. He asked her on a date a couple weeks ago and they have been going out to Hogsmede every week. I assumed you two wouldn't care at first, but then I overheard her say she hadn't talked to either of you since winter break."
"Why would she go on a date? Multiple dates" I asked as I started to pace in annoyance.
"If we haven't talked to her in almost two months Sebastian I'm assuming she thinks we aren't her concern anymore." Ominis said and started to walk towards the entrance of Hogwarts.
"Where are you going?" I yelled after him, looking at Garreth who also looked confused.
"Where else? I'm going to Hogsmede"
