Chapter 18

Your pov

The next morning when we were all finally awake we started down the stairs, planning to leave for the day and go wander around the town together, mostly for me and Ominis to show Sebastian the shops we had been to throughout the week. I had dressed simply, just a normal sweater and some pants, along with a scarf in case it was cold or I didn't remember what marks I had.
"How do I look?" Sebastian asked Ominis as he turned away from the mirror and fixed his coat.
"Oh absolutely fantastic. Although your coat is inside out" Ominis answered him plainly. I watched Sebastian look down and then get really confused, but Ominis just blankly stared at Sebastian. Slowly seb seemed to realize what he'd done wrong, and turned to me.
"Do I look alright?" He asked again, which made me start laughing at them both.
"Exquisite, both of you" I said and rolled my eyes, "now if we could actually get started on the day I would appreciate it greatly."
"Of course, come on Sebastian stop fixing your hair." Ominis said as he stood up and pulled out his wand so he would be able to originate himself on the trip.
"How did you even know I was doing that?" Sebastian asked as he dropped his hands away from his hair. I laughed at them and grabbed Sebastian's arm and pulled him out of my room.
"Also, one of you is sleeping in the spare room tonight. It was too crowded." I told them and wrapped my arm into Sebastian's.
"Seeing as Ominis has gotten you all to himself all week I think it's only fair it's my turn" Sebastian teased, before letting go of my arm and letting Oninis go down the stairs.
"Sebastian I am not an old man. I'm blind not stupid you don't have to watch me walk down the stairs." Ominis chastised as he seemed to feel Sebastian checking to make sure he got down the stairs. As we walked into the living room I noticed my mother was sitting in the living room having tea. I paused and walked over to her, before patting her on the shoulder.
"We are heading out for the day mother" I told her, not expecting her to really respond. She looked up at me and smiled before looking over at the arguing boys.
"Do I not get to talk with you all before you leave? Feels like I haven't spoken to you all week." She scooted over in the couch and motioned to the extra cups that were empty. "Have tea with me, it's not often I get to meet both your suitors." She whispered the last part and laughed. I blushed heavily and sat down next to her. Sebastian looked over and smiled, before pulling Ominis over to the couch.
"Come on Ominis it's time for us to charm the lady of the house." Sebastian said with lots of confidence. Ominis sat down opposite of my mother and put his wand away.
"Says the one who hasn't been here" Ominis sighed, causing my mother to laugh a little.
"So, now I fully get to meet the two boys who have been driving (y/n) crazy all these years. I'm surprised it took so long before i met either of you." She said and took a sip of her tea. I noticed Ominis reach towards a cup, and I moved to help pour him some tea. Sebastian and me completely passed but Ominis absolutely loved having tea in the morning.
"Does she talk often about us?" Sebastian asked, before relaxing slightly into the seat. "I can't imagine she says anything good."
"Says you two keep her in trouble" my mother looked at Sebastian, "you in particular I've heard."
"My apologies ma'am, I am working on not being such a trouble maker." Sebastian said and looked back at me, smiling as he noticed me dying a little more inside with everytime she said I talked about them.
"So," my mother paused, seeing me and Sebastian looking at each other which caused me to quickly look anywhere else. "Why is it that neither of you have ever came here before to ask my permission to court her? Or are you both not interested?" I watched Ominis choke on the tea he had just taken a sip of, and Sebastian looked embarrassed and taken aback at her words. Both of them started to try and stumble out some excuse or reason, but my mother cut them off. "I just wanted to know which one of you intended to be my son in law, that's all."
"Mother!" I gasped and looked over at her, giving a her a look and hoping she'd shut up soon.
"Ah well, you see I-we haven't-" Sebastian started, still stumbling over his words horribly as he tried to think of something to say.
"We both are courting her" Oninis said, acting more collected than me or Sebastian could manage. He took another sip of his tea and ignored Sebastian elbowing him in the ribs.
"Oh" my mother paused and looked between them and then at me, "(y/n) are you leading these poor boys on?" She whispered to me and I heard Ominis snicker slightly at the idea that I was leading either of them on.
"It's not like that-" I tried to explain but cut myself off trying to think of a way out of this, or how to explain.
"Actually ma'am, we uh... we are both courting her at the same time knowingly." Sebastian told her, causing my mother to look back over at him. She paused and looked at them for a long moment, confusion spreading across her face. "We plan on ah, both of us dating her."
"How does that... what do you mean?" My mother asked, still clearly confused.
"We are both with her, romantically." Ominis said and sat down the cup of tea he had now finished drinking. "We are aware it's a rather strange arrangement."
My mother stayed dead silent for a moment, before looking at me and shaking her head. "I can't believe..."
"Mother I can explain better, it's not weird like you may-"
"God I love you kids" she sighed and placed her head in her hands. All of us looked at each other awkwardly, trying to figure out what was happening. "I wish I could've had this idea when I was your age."
"What do you mean?" I asked and placed a Hand on her shoulder.
"When I was at Hogwarts, I was obviously seeing your father" she said and looked up at me. I tensed up, wondering if this would be another one of her moments. Instead she continued. "But we had this friend, and I was in love with him as well. I chose your father. If I had just thought of this..." she drifted off and sighed, "I wouldn't be alone now." I paused for a moment, before reaching over and holding her hand.
           "It's alright mom, if... if you wanted to I wouldn't be opposed to you trying to find someone." I told her, and she looked over and just seemed to realize that had been an option. I glanced over and Sebastian and Ominis, who were looking extremely awkward. I cleared my throat and stood up. "Ah, we are going to be heading out now though."
           "Of course, you kids have fun" she said and poured herself another cup of tea. I quickly looked at Sebastian and he got up as well, before grabbing Ominis and hauling him up.
            Once we all were outside the house I let out a sigh, before putting my hands on my face. "That was the most awkward conversation I've ever had in my life."
             "Telling your mother your dating both of us or the part where she mentioned her lost loves?" Ominis asked as he laced his fingers into mine.
              "Both, both were excruciatingly awkward. Especially with both of you watching us." I said and seen Ominis smile a little.
              "Well one of us watching, but I understand the idea." He replied and pulled out his wand. "Now I think it's time we quickly leave and pretend this didn't happen"
             "I've met her for less than twenty four hours and your mother seems like a handful. I understand not taking us here before" Sebastian said, before grabbing my other hand and lifting it up to his lips and placing a kiss on it. "Now how much have you talked about us?"
             "She won't answer I've been trying." Ominis replied and I let go of both of their hands and started to walk down the hill.
             "Oh where are you going?" Ominis called after me, a laugh in his tone.
             "Away!" I yelled back and kept walking away from them.
             "I think you should know, that she looks fantastic walking away from us." I heard Sebastian say, before they both started to quickly walk and catch up with me.
