Your pov

"Listen, I know the work is hard but you really do just have to focus on it." I groaned as another seventh year, a boy in my history of magic class named Arthur, pestered me for help during class. He had started doing this lately, starting with a few questions here that I helped with just to be nice. But as the weeks passed he seemed to get more determined to bug me. I had been ignoring him for the most part, I was too focused on my own life rather than helping him more than the bare minimum. But today was getting especially annoying since he had nonstop asked me questions all class.
"Alright, I'll stop bugging you, but do you think tonight at dinner you could come by and help me, just for a few moments! The assignment that is due this week has me stumped and I just need a little help." He begged, and I looked over at him. It was hard not to pity him. Named after the one true king of the myths (depending who you ask) he looked nothing like that. All bones and very little muscle, a too sharp face that would've been good looking if he wasn't so skittish and always had his eyes darting around. His hair was also very.... Slicked. always slicked back. But not like Ominis, who took care to make sure his never looked wet. His simply looked wet.
"Alright," I sighed and relented, taking pity on him once again, "but I'm done after this. You need to study or read more yourself."
"Thank you! I really appreciate it." He got a excited grin and kept to himself for the rest of class. I zoned him out and tried to focus on the overly boring history.

"I'll be right back," I told Ominis and Sebastian as I split away from them as they walked towards the slytherin table. I made my way over to the raven claw table, where Arthur sat. Smartest house, yet he had somehow been sorted into it and needed this much assistance. I really was tired of having to give him all my attention in class. This would be the last time I dealt with him. I looked over the table before finding him, seats empty around him. I felt bad, before quickly pushing that aside. No more pity for him, that's what got me so stuck in the first place. I made my way over and sat down next to him, his books were infront of him but not open.
"You should start by opening the books" I said and took the seat opposite of him. I grabbed his paper to see how far along he had gotten, and it was blank. I put it back down and glared at him, "you haven't even started."
"I've been trying, but I need help remember?" He huffed, before grabbing his books. He stood and tried to rearrange them so he could start the assignment. He knocks a book off and it falls at my feet. "Oh I'm so sorry, could you please get that?" I rolled my eyes and bent over and grabbed the book, before leaning back up and setting the book down. A house elf walked past at this time and I realized it had brought my a drink. I appreciated that because this was all giving me a bad taste in my mouth. I grab the cup and drink it, before seeing something out of the corner of my eye.
"(Y/n)?" The seventh year asked as they came up behind me and gave me a quick smile. Their eyes flashed to Arthur and I frowned, wondering why they looked murderous. He was annoying but that seemed like too much. "I need your help quickly. Would you mind coming with me?"
"Actually she was helping me-" Arthur said and tried to grab my hand but (s/y) quickly cut him off and took my hand and pulled me up.
"Well you see I need her help more" they smiled at Arthur, before pulling me away from the table and out the doors.
"Thank you, my heads killing me from dealing with him" I groaned and leaned against the wall. (S/y) looked at me, concern all over their face.
"Did you see anything back there?" They asked, looking around the hall quickly.
"What? Besides him being completely annoying" I laughed, but stopped as my head started to pound. "Ugh I think I need to go lay down." I said as I closed my eyes and rubbed my temple, I stepped away from the wall and started to walk towards the slytherin common room.
"Can I escort you?" They asked quickly, following behind me for a moment, but I showed them off. They paused and glanced back at the great hall.
"I'll be fine, thank you for the rescue" I joked, before continuing on my way to the common room. The longer I walked the more my head started to pound, and I started to feel extremely over heated. I stumbled my way into the empty common room and up to my dorm. I pushed open the door and fell into my bed, before sleeping over took me.

The next morning I jumped out of bed, extremely excited. Today was going to be the day, I don't know why I had waited for so long to do this. I needed to confess how I felt, I should've done so so long ago but I had put it off. Why had I put it off? It made so much sense. Everything about today was going to be perfect, I just needed to go find him, and tell him everything I felt. I quickly got dressed and started out the door of my room, bypassing my roommates and I rushed down the hall.

Ominis pov

"Sebastian, have you seen (y/n) today?" I asked as we walked down the hall to one of our classes. I swept my wand back and forth, using it to guide myself through my surroundings. The wand was special, almost living, and it helped me understand everything I should've been able to see but couldn't.
"No I haven't, which is strange considering she usually waits for us in the common room." Sebastian said, a worried look crossing his face as he realized this behavior was out of the ordinary.
"That's what I was thinking. And if for some reason she missed that she would've hunted us down by now." I paused, quite literally stopping in the hallway. "Did you ever see her last night? She never came to the table at dinner."
"You didn't see her? I thought you had" Sebastian's voice got panicked now, and he grabbed my elbow and started to guide me down a different hallway quickly. "If neither of us have seen her since last night and she's missing now, somethings wrong."
"Who was she going to help?" I asked as we took another sharp turn down a hallway. We started to go down some stairs and I realized we were making our way towards the classroom she should've been heading to right now. I listened and I didn't hear her voice anywhere.
"Some guy from her history of magic class. We need to find someone from her class right now who may know who it was, because he seems to be the last one who seen her." Sebastian said and we came to a halt, based on the noise we stopped near a classroom.
"Sebastian!" I heard (s/y) yelled from down the hall, before hearing their foot steps approaching us. "(Y/n), have you seen her?"
"Are you looking for her as well?" I asked and felt Sebastian grip my elbow tight. He usually only would guide me if the area was crowded or if we were rushing, at which point I was basically dragged like this.
"Yes, last night I seen Arthur-"
"Arthur?" Sebastian asked, completely interrupting, "who is that?"
"The Ravenclaw she was sitting with. When she bent down to get a book he dropped I thought I seen him put something in her drink." (S/y) said, and I could tell Sebastian was about to lose it over their words.
"And you didn't say anything? To us, to the professors?" He said as he let go of my elbow and I could tell he was getting close to their face. "Didn't even tell her?"
"I was going to but she went to her dorm so I assumed she was fine and I had been mistaken. I've been looking around for her to see if she was alright but I can't find her." They replied, and Sebastian cursed.
"We can deal with this later Sebastian, we need to find her" I tell him, stepping closer.
"We need to find this ravenclaw as well. If he might've put something in her drink and now she's missing, he obviously has something to do with it. He might've-," Sebastian paused and seemed to try and contain his anger, but also I could tell he was hiding something. "(S/y) you find Prof. Black and let him know a student had a potion put in their drink. He might already know what I'm talking about but if not just find him and tell him to meet us in the infirmary."
"Alright, I'll go do that" they said and walked passed me down the hall, already rushing to go find the professor.
"Sebastian why do I feel like there's something I've not been told." I said as he cursed some more
"Because there is. Garreth told me he had a potion he had made, some kind of enhanced love potion. He said he had sold it but heard it traded hands several times. He didn't know who had it. I threatened him for even selling something like that," he paused again and I felt him grab my arm and yank me down another hall.
"You could let me walk on my own you know" I snap, but soon we paused again in one of the crowded areas. "But a love potion? Do you think that's what the ravenclaw slipped into her drink?"
"That or something else, but anything is dangerous since we don't know what he did. This is my only guess, so I'm going to go find this ravenclaw and find out what it was. Can you look for (y/n)?"
"Of course, but Sebastian even if you find this Arthur fellow how are you going to find out what he used?"
"Don't worry about it." He said back, and I got the feeling I wouldn't approve of the things he was considering.
"Don't do anything Stupid while I'm gone"
"No promises. You're taking all the sanity with you." He said before walking away.
