The group stood idly staring between themselves. The Phantom Thieves had intended to bring Makoto and Y/N into the metaverse, expecting two individuals of shock and confusion. However now everyone present was confused.
Makoto wanted to know where she had been taken, and why her friends were all now dressed in weird outfits;
The Phantom Thieves wanted to know why Y/N had a persona of his own;
And Y/N wanted to know why the Thieves themselves had personas, and where exactly this was - this wasn't the Train Station other world he was accustomed to...
Ryuji was the first person to break the silence: "Holy shit dude?! You have a persona?!" He exclaimed in disbelief
The other Thieves definitely had questions of their own, however Makoto was the first person to Interject with her own inquiries
"Where are we!? And why are you guys all dressed up funny?" She cried in astonishment. Just a few moments ago everything was normal, yet now everything had an abnormal black and red hue, and the sky was wavy
"This is the metaverse!" Called Morgana
Both Y/N and Makoto looked down at the strange creature - "a monster cat?!" The pair exclaimed in sync
"I am not a cat!" Retaliated Morgana
"To answer your question senpai, we are inside Kaneshiro's heart - the world inside of it to be more exact" Ann answered before turned back towards her crimson haired senpai
"It's another reality in which Kaneshiro's distorted desires have materialised" Yusuke added before also turning back towards Y/N
"Okay so this ISNT the train station? And this world is... a manifestation of people's corrupt desires?" Concluded
Y/N before reopening his eyes, "Hey, why are you all staring at me?"
"Because you have a persona!" Shrieked Morgana, "and you have been to Mementos too?!"
"Mementos?" He questioned; "I assume that's what you call that train station version of this world then... interesting"
"Dude! Stop beating around the bush" Cried Ryuji, "How have you been in the metaverse!?"
Y/N summarised his experience with the 'metaverse' to his companions, from the first time he entered, unlocking his Persona. To the previous five times after that he visited.
"So you're telling us you have been navigating Mementos by yourself!?" Questioned Ann - Y/N nodded his head in a nonchalant response
"So... so that time I found you wounded (F/N) you... hadn't fallen down stairs as you told me?" Interjected Makoto
"I'm sorry I lied Mako, but... I didn't want you to think I was crazy" He replied - "I mean would you have believed any of this?"
"To tell you the truth, not at all. Especially if it was when we had first met, but..." Her words trailed off; "have you been putting yourself into danger (F/N)?" Makoto was evidently worried for Y/N, which made him feel even more guilty
"I'm fine Makoto" He assured "I'm really strong you know" He smiled widely looking down at her through his mask
"Okay (F/N), just please keep yourself out of any harm" Makoto ordered, before turning back to the Phantom Thieves
"So this is another reality huh?" Her questions were only expanded as she turned around to see a floating structure above her: "It's floating in the air!? Th-This is reality!? My goodness..." she cried on the verse of fainting - "I'm sorry, its just... I can't doubt this exists, seeing it with my own eyes... A reality that one's heart shows... Is it like the application of optical illusions in social cognitive psychology?"
