The Phantom Thieves all arrived at Leblanc after their short journey. Having entered the cafe, they greeted Sojiro kindly as they moved to Ren's room above the cafe.
"This place is oddly calming." Narrated Makoto as Ren, Ryuji, and Y/N set out the table and chairs for everyone to sit around.
"Have you learned anything new?" She questioned Yusuke, who was still analysing the golden briefcase.
"It's sealed by a rotary lock. We'll need the combination to open it." Sighed the artist in response.
"A rotary lock, huh?" Makoto pondered as she moved closer to Yusuke and the briefcase.
The brunette proceeded to input a code into the briefcase. Which, to the surprise of everyone, unlocked the Treasure.
"...I knew it." Makoto proudly boasted.
"How did you get that?" Puzzled Yusuke with an amazed tone.
"I simply mesmerised the combination. I saw him open and close it so many times, after all." She responded conclusively.
"W-Well that's... scary. But amazin' too!" Declared Ryuji, looking up from his manga volume.
"Mako IS the scariest know-it-all around after all." Chuckled Y/N.
"Urghhh, that burns..." Complained Morgana, still feeling incredibly pained. "Hey, hurry up and open it."
Makoto opened the shiny briefcase as requested, to unveil what looked like a large sum of yen stacked within.
"H-How much is this!?" Questioned Ryuji.
"I believe one stack is one million yen..." Marvelled Yusuke.
"One, two, three... Uhhh, there's thirty of them in here!?" Exclaimed Ann, overwhelmed by how much money there was.
"Thirty million yen..." Breathed Makoto, "Even after splitting it, we still each get four and some million!"
"Holy shit... It's gonna be deluxe pork soup combo for me from here on out!" Excitedly smiled Ryuji.
"You have to think bigger than that..." Responded Morgana.
"Not to bring down the excited mood but..." Interjected Yusuke, "does this money look real to you?"
"What!?" Puzzled Ann, before examining the stacked cash closer. "Children's Bank!?"
"F-For real!?" Stammered Ryuji in disbelief.
"This has got to be some kind of joke..." sighed Y/N.
"I guess this represents... how everything he did was an act to make himself seem tough?" Justified Makoto.
"Noooooooo!" Cried Ryuji.
"Well hey, at least it feels like we totes busted this case, right?" Positively smiled Ann.
"What do you mean?" Puzzled Makoto, "Is busting a case good or bad?"
"Both!" Cheered Ann.
"Don't confuse her more Ann..." Chuckled Y/N.
However, Makoto could only respond with the outburst of laughter herself. "To think the reward for the Phantom Thieves is feeling they 'totes busted' the case..." she giggled, "Ahhh... How funny!"
"Hold on a second." Interjected Yusuke, "Even though the contents were nothing more than trash, the case itself is quite nice."
"All right then, let's sell it!" Quickly demanded Ryuji, "Glad we got that sorted!"
"By the way Morgana, have any of your memories returned?" Questioned Yusuke.
"No, not at all..." Sadly sighed the cat.
