Love at First Sight

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintances" the red-bushy haired student declared, bowing towards his new classmates.

"Okay Mister (L/N), please take a seat next to Okumura-chan at the back of the classroom." Y/N walked towards where his teacher instructed, following the gently waving hand coming from a female student seated at the back of the room.

Whilst walking past his fellow students Y/N couldn't help hear various comments about himself coming from his peers. A girl or two referred to him as cute, while another jokingly compared him to a biker gangster. True he was tall and roughly built but that didn't mean he was a gangster, though the compliments about his appearance almost brought a blush to his face.
It appears he made at least a good impression on his classmates, even if all he did was introduce himself so far.

"Okumura correct?" The Red head informally asked the seated Floofy haired girl sat before him

"Yes that is correct, it is nice to make your acquaintance (L/N)-kun." Okumura's kind, warm smile and gentle greeting caused a faint blush to rise on Y/N's face as he took his seat smiling.
The girl was extremely cute Y/N thought to himself as he looked at her. She wore a pink jumper over her uniform which only heightened her overwhelming cuteness. Her auburn hair was also incredibly fluffy looking which made Y/N want to play with it.

Classes went on as they would typically do for Y/N, however as he was joining mid-semester he would need to take it upon himself to revise any subjects he may not be knowledgeable about already in order to at least pass any upcoming tests.
Y/N wasn't exactly an academically gifted student, but he wasn't an idiot either. He had gotten by in School so far by revising as little as he needed; and his results were around above average.

*Timeskip to Lunch*

'Hope I can manage to review a few subjects before any future exams, I didn't understand half of what Mr. Ushimaru was teaching. I could've sworn he glared daggers at me when I almost fell asleep... so much for first impressions with him!' Y/N thought as students around the classroom moved about their Lunch time routines.

"You really should try and stay awake during class (L/N)-kun. Especially for Mr. Ushimaru, he has a reputation for throwing chalk at misbehaving students" the pink fluff ball spoke towards the red head.

"Call me (F/N) if you would prefer Okumura-chan! And did you say he... throws chalk? That's a bit abusive isn't it? Well thanks for the warning!" Y/N cheerfully replies to the girl

"Say how would you like to eat your lunch with me today (F/N)-kun?" Okumura responded "and if you would like, please call me Haru too okay!" The fluff ball gleamed in Y/N's eyes. Truly someone to protect at all costs.

"Thank you Haru-chan! I appreciate it, I dont really have any friends yet too so I'm glad I won't have to eat alone" Y/N brightly smiled back towards his new friend.

Y/N at the thought of mentioning friends remembered the lowerclassman Amamiya who he may have searched for if Haru hadn't bestowed upon him this divine charity.
The red head thought there was something compelling about the boy which made him want to befriend the guy as soon as possible.

"So how were you finding classes today (F/N)-kun? I noticed you not so subtlely falling asleep during your first day. You are really brave" giggled the adorable Haru towards her new friend.

"Caught red handed already aye?" Y/N joked as he raised his hands in surrender to the girl. "I guess I'm just gonna find it a little difficult to settle straight away I guess, I'll definitely need to study some topics so I don't flunk out any exams" he joked, causing Haru to laugh with him in response. "Besides that Haru, you sure you want to spend your time with me instead of with your friends? I appreciate this truly, but please don't sacrifice your free time out of kindness for me!"

Haru looked back at him between eating her sandwiches as he responded to her question with a question of his own.
"Oh please don't worry about me (F/N)-kun! I don't really have any friends anyway so I'm glad to spend this time with you" Haru smiled back despite saying something so depressing to Y/N.

'How does an adorable shining beacon such as Haru not have any friends?' Y/N thought to himself as he finished his lunch.
"Well I'm your friend now okay Haru?! I consider it an absolute sin, that an adorable girl such as yourself is so neglected! You truly are so pure, saying something like that with a smile on your face" he declared, standing up proudly above Haru as if his life depended upon that speech.

"Wow you're quite forward aren't you? Calling a girl adorable like that after only knowing her for less than a day~" Haru responded with her staple giggle.

Y/N felt relieved she was able to joke with him so familiarly after only just meeting. In fact they became friends rather quickly now that he stopped to think about it. 'Maybe I really am just sociably gifted' He thought to himself sitting back down after making a scene.

"I'm glad you consider me so highly though (F/N)-kun, even if we only just met. I'm glad that you consider us friends too; it really makes me happy" she continued as she finished her own lunch soon after.

"Tell you what Haru, would you mind showing me where the library is here? I figured since I'm gonna need to study soon I may aswell prepare books and material where I can" Y/N wanted to find the library himself after school gave out for the day anyway, but seeing as he has a new friend experienced with the building he figured walking around with Haru would make it more exciting.

"Why of course!" She responded in kind with her signature adorable smile. She got out of her seat with Y/N and led him towards the library on the same floor as their classroom, which made it very convenient to reach for him.

"Thanks Haru! I'll only be a moment, though don't wait up for me if you'd like to return to class"

Haru shook her head in response planning to wait outside for her friend as he looked around the library. As he entered he approached the girl standing at the front desk who imparted upon him the rules of the library. After locating an English text book he figured he could make the best revision out of and checking it out at the front desk; the red-head turned to leave before noticing a radiant presence sat at the middle table of the library.

A beautiful girl with a braid across her brown hair sat at the table with a large number of text books spread across the table. Clearly she was a dedicated student through and through which only made Y/N's heart flutter more and more, he felt like a complete fool for not immediately noticing her when entering the room. He didn't even know the girls name but he'd already fallen in love at first sight. Truly a very easy guy to please, although she just felt different than any other person he'd met before. Her striking crimson eyes that likened to Y/N's own hair colour also gave off character of strength, resilience and beauty. Y/N was a great judge of character on the worst of days and he knew that the girl sitting in front of him was someone he wanted to dedicate his life to; and he didn't even know her name!

Y/N left the library still in shock which caused Haru to immediately grow suspicious at the obvious blush and open jaw of her friend.

"Haru? I think... I think I just fell in love"
