I was sitting with Dustin as he was talking with his friends.
"Ok, ok. Quiet down. It's Monday there's alot to do, but first and foremost is signing up for your mandatory community service project." Mr. O says.
"More like community suck-vice!" Brandt yells.
We laugh.
"I doubt that you will be saying that when you hear these cool options, ok Sam's dad is delivering to the homeless." Mr. O says.
"PB&J making at my house!" Sam yells but no laughter.
"Yeah all right, there's a river trash pick up, you can skrape gum off the bridge. And finally Heather's mom.. Is hosting a fashion show at the nursing home, huh?" Mr. O says.
"Ma, which one you doing?" Dustin asks me.
"The fashion show." I say.
"Damn, Ma your gonna carry that show. I should come watch." He says.
"You have better things to do, Dusty."
"Mhm, alright." He says.
"The signing sheets are in the hall." Mr. O says as the bell rings.
We all rush out to the signing sheets.
I of course signed to the fashion show.
"Guys, guys, stop it, stop it, ok it's my mom not yours, my mom not yours." Heather says.
"YES, Maya were gonna be super models." I hear Anna yell in a manly voice.
"Can be so rewarding." Heather's mom says.
We all agree.
"Whenever Heather and I visit her grandma at the house. I think to myself no one even notices those people besides us." Deb says.
