Chapter Five: Five Questions.

"It'll be fun, I promise," River says, from his room. It's Wednesday morning, and River wants to stay round mine for the day, saying that we'll have fun. Yeah, not going to happen.
"No," I refuse, and River rolls his eyes. I think we both know that he's already won, but I'm still going to try.
"Come on, we could try and make a cake?" River smirks, and I raise an eyebrow at him.
"Sure, because you definitely look like the cooking type," I say, sarcastically.
"Sarcasm is supposed to be the lowest form of wit, you know," River States, and I roll my eyes.
"And what do you know about wit?" I retort, and River chuckles.
"A lot, girls are always charmed by my wit, it gets them undressed," River smirks, and I crinkle my nose.
"Whatever, Brooks," I roll my eyes, and River smirks.
"I'll see you soon, Lancaster," River smirks, before closing his window. I roll my eyes, before getting dressed.

I watch Ria making the cake mixture, looking at her curiously. She is your cliché girl next door. A picture of innocence, pretty, but just out of reach. Not that I want her, but she is. She's probably the only girl who doesn't want to date me, bang me, or marry me. Which is fine by me, I prefer sluts in short skirts and low tops. Or no clothes at all. But I can't imagine Ria in any sort of sexual contact, I mean, it was weird just seeing her being kissed by Caspar.
Ria must sense me watching her, as she looks up and raises an eyebrow at me.
"What? Do I have something on my face or something?" Ria asks, raising an eyebrow. I chuckle, shaking my head clear of my thoughts. Ria blushes, wiping her face even though there is nothing there.
"No, I was just lost in thought. I was trying to imagine you in some sort of sexual situation. You're so innocent I can't imagine it," I say honestly, and Ria frowns.
"How do you know? I might've done it before, you wouldn't know," Ria shrugs, though a faint blush is evident on her cheeks. I spot a picture on the side, and walk closer to look at it. Ria is on a stage, is the first thing that surprises me. She looks like she is the girl who probably has stage fright. The second thing is that she is clearly singing, and Caspar is singing the other part. They're singing a duet of some sort, and Ria has a smile on her face, but it looks slightly fake.
"When was this?" I ask, curiously. Ria looks over, and smiles slightly.
"Well I'm guessing you already know that Caspar cheated on me, well that was after the first girl. The night after I found out. There was this school performance, and I had to sing a duet, and my other partner ditched me, so Caspar offered. We were performing a part of high school musical, and I was supposed to be Sharpay, and Caspar was supposed to be Jason," Ria replies, looking away slightly.
"Okay," I say, knowing that she doesn't really want to talk about it.
"Since then, the whole lack of confidence came in, and now I have terrible stage fright," Ria shrugs, and I nod. "Can you get the cake trays out?" Ria asks, and I walk over to the cupboard and take out the cupcake trays. I place them on the side, and I start to put the mixture into the cases. And it's then that I hope one day that Ria trusts me enough to tell me what happened between herself and Caspar. Not because I really want to know, but I'm interested in Ria's past.
