Chapter Fourteen: You're My Flashlight.

Monday comes around, and I head to school early. I'm wearing dark blue skinny jeans and a grey hoodie. My hair is straightened down my back, and my makeup is done nearly. It feels like a good day, who knows why.
I sit down in first lesson, which is Media Studies. I sit down in front of a computer, and the lesson starts.
"For your final project here, you will create a music video based on a category I give you. You can choose whatever song you like, You can work in pairs, groups, or solo. I don't mind, now get into your groups," the media teacher, Mrs Parsons, informs us. I decide to work alone, and Mrs Parsons starts to hand out the sections.
"Your category is love, or heartbreak, either of those," Mrs Parsons informs me, and I nod. Let's go back to Taylor Swift, back to the classics.
I make a list of songs to choose from, and eventually narrow it down or three. Either; You Are In Love, Treacherous or Enchanted.
Then the door opens to the door, and I see a girl stood in the doorway. She looks nervous, in her black top which is nearly tucked into a skirt which is tight, and in the style of a kilt. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and is quite small. She's very pretty, and looks nervous, but with a look about her which shows confidence at the same time.
"This is India Stone, she's a new student," A teacher says, and India nervously walks inside.
"Hi India, we're just starting a new project. You're going to make a music video, you can choose someone to work with if you like," Mrs Parsons says, and India looks around nervously.
"You can work with me, if you like," I offer, smiling politely at her. India smiles, walking over and sitting with me.
"Hi, I'm Rihanna Lancaster, but please call me Ria," I smile, and India smiles back.
"I'm India Stone," India replies, grinning.
"Nice to meet you, and welcome to hell. Anyway, our topic for our music video is love or heartbreak, so do you have any songs? I've currently just listed three Taylor Swift ones," I reply, and India smiles, picking up a pen and writing down a few more names;
You are in love ~ Taylor Swift
Treacherous ~ Taylor Swift
Enchanted ~ Taylor Swift
Flashlight ~ Jessie J
Thinking Out Loud ~ Ed Sheeran
New Romantics ~ Taylor SwiftI smile, as I like all of these songs. But now we have to pick one.
"I'm thinking Treacherous, Flashlight or You Are In Love," India informs me, and I nod.
"Okay, which one though? I'm leaning towards Flashlight," I say, and India nods.
"Same, should we go for that then?" India asks, and I nod.
"Okay class, I just wanted to tell you that this will be shown to the class next Monday, so get filming and recording," Mrs Parsons says, before the bell goes. I wait for India, before showing her to her next lesson. Maybe I'm not so alone after all.

At lunch, I sit down on a table with India.
"So, what are your ideas for the video?" India asks, curiously.
"I was thinking maybe we have one of us wondering through the darkness, and get the other girl to show her the way with a torch, like being saved by a flashlight," I reply, and India nods.
"When will we record?" India asks, smiling.
"Whenever you like, my Mum works at a recording studio, so we can easily record there," I reply, and India nods.
