The next day, I change into a black leggings and a grey hoodie. I don't bother with any makeup, and just shove my hair into a messy bun, because I can't really be bothered to do much. I shove my glasses on, before hopping downstairs. I quickly grab my phone, before leaving the house. I knock on River's house, and Lindsay answers the door.
"Hey Ria, come in," Lindsay smiles, leading me into the living room. Zach is waiting, and he looks up and grins at me.
"Hey Ria," Zach grins.
"Is the princess still getting ready?" I ask, and Zach chuckles.
"Yeah, he can't do his makeup," Zach chuckles. I grin, just as River walks in.
"Hey Ri," River grins.
"Hey," I reply, biting my lip to stop myself from laughing.
"What?" River questions, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing," I shrug, and Zach just smiles innocently. Lindsay leads us outside and we get into her car. She drives us to the local ice skating rink, and we walk inside. We each get some ice skates, and we sit down on the side. It's just us here, which is nice. They have music playing, and it's very nice. We all put on the white ice skates, before we stumble over to the rink. I smile, stepping onto the ice. River stumbles slightly, falling over. I laugh, skating over and helping him up. River blushes slightly, and I roll my eyes, taking his hands in mine. I skate backwards facing him, as I guide him across the ice.
"When did you learn to skate?" River asks, curiously, as I pull him along the ice.
"When I was more into performing in musicals, some of them were on ice, so I had to know how to skate," I reply, smiling. I slowly let go of his hands, and he stumbles forward, but catches himself. I skate along next to him slowly, and River chuckles.
"That's cool, what musicals did you do on ice?" River questions, curiously.
"Peter Pan, I was Wendy. That was fun. We did Wicked on ice once, I was the wicked witch. The others we did on stage," I reply, and River nods.
"Did you prefer doing them on ice or on stage?" River asks, smiling at me.
"Probably on ice, just because the guy who was acting Peter Pan was well fit," I laugh, and River chuckles, grabbing my arm suddenly as he slips slightly. He falls to the floor, and I wobble slightly at him dragging me down, but I manage to stop before I cut his fingers off with the skates.
"When you fall, lift your hands up from the floor, otherwise they could get cut by skates," I grin, helping him up.
"Good to know," River grins, as Lindsay and Zach skate over to us.
"Zach's a good skater, why don't you skate with him? I'll stay with clumsy over here," Lindsay chuckles, and I grin, before skating alongside Zach.
"I'll race you round once," Zach grins, and I smile confidently back.
"Three two one, go," Zach grins, before we both skate quickly round. I beat him by a lot, but I've learnt professionally, so I was expecting to win.
"How?" Zach asks, as he finishes.
"I'm literally a professional, I'm actually trained to teach people," I laugh.
"Let's do it backwards," Zach grins, before skating away backwards. I grin, skating backwards after him. Again, I win. Zach rolls his eyes, and I laugh. River and Lindsay catch up to us, and smile. The instructor guy is still skating around, though I don't even see the point. He skates over, and grins at me.
"Ever thought about getting a job here?" He questions.
"I don't want a job here, I'm fine thanks," I say, and he nods.
"Want to race?" He asks, and I smirk.
"I'm so winning," I grin, before he skates away. I skate after him, and overtake him quickly.
"What the hell?" He asks, and I grin.
"I could literally skate with my eyes closed," I say, as I purposely crash into River's back, sending him stumbling. I grab his arm, pulling him back, laughing. The instructor rolls his eyes, before leaving. I frown at him, before wrapping my arms around River's waist, hugging him.
"Thanks for inviting me," I grin, and River smiles.
"No problem," River grins.
"Anyway, do you want to go and get some lunch?" Lindsay asks, and I smile, before we leave the ice. They leave, but the instructor holds me back for a minute. I frown, raising an eyebrow.
"I was wondering if I could have your number?" The instructor says.
"No thanks," I reply, before stepping off the ice. I take off the skates quickly and swap them over for my shoes, and the instructor scowls at me. What's wrong with him? I only didn't give him my number.
"You look better with a smile," I say, shrugging.
"Oh I'm sorry," the instructor says, placing a sickly sweet smile on his face as he pours his drink on my head. Anger management? I scowl, running my fingers through my hair.
"How kind," I say sarcastically.
"Whatever," He rolls his eyes.
"Aw look, he's sulking," I tease him, before walking away.
We leave the rink then, and go to a restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is nice, and the food tastes good. We aren't long in here, before we head home. I walk up to my room after saying goodbye to them, and take out a pen and paper.
Dear Caspar,
I forgive you for what happened, but that's not saying I will forget it. I know that both of us came out badly on the situations, and you can't take all the blame. I'm not going to say anything about being friends, because we both know that will never happen. But I wanted to say things are okay. Everything is okay.
